First ride

So today I did my first bike ride of spring, and as usual, it did not go well. I guess I fall out of shape for the winter months since I don't like cycling in colder weather, but I thought I'd have a leg up this year. I figured since I've been using my treadmill all winter, that I wouldn't have that hard of a time starting up cycling again. I was wrong. I only got 5 miles before I had to stop because my chest was hurting, I was light headed, and I felt VERY nauseous. I didn't even make it to the area I was aiming for. I was hoping to ride to the bike path near my old apartment, do one loop at it, and then ride back... I didn't even make it to the path.

I was hoping to throw up on the side of the road because it would've made me feel better, physically. So after sitting on the side of the road for a while, I started slowly heading back home. It's so disappointing. But in a way it does encourage me to cycle more, because I don't like being... weak, I guess?

I just find it odd that I've been working out for months, and my bike still kicks my ass. I guess it just affects different areas.
