Needs to be a happy medium length of a meeting so people get the satisfaction of hanging with friends, attention span and getting things done. I got bored at long meetings too (see title of journal "I'm bored, entertain me" for further info of how long my attention span runs), but it is nearing JenCon too. Those meetings tend to run longer as hopefully you guys get things done.
Yeah, I totally understand the length vs attention span thing. I was focusing more on people's complaints of the meeting itself, not the length. But I still say, if you get bored, then leave, I've done it myself. Yesterday's meeting might have been a little longer than most others this year, but it was also a lot more fun, which is the kind of thing I don't mind sitting through for an extra ten minutes. It reminded me a lot more of the CnG I joined my freshman year and experienced last year. Our current president makes me feel like I'm in the third grade and I should feel bad about talking to the person sitting next to me. The vice president was running the first half of the meeting yesterday, and the atmosphere just seemed a lot more like a place I would want to be.
