life at UCF
so nobody really reads this thing anymore, and i guess im guilty of it too cuz i havent read any of my friends journals in probably a month. its kinda sad, like the end of an era. ok that sounds too sentimental but livejournal was my life for a few months. i remember trying to stop myself from posting thinking once a day iss enough. lol. this was my diary. i shared things in it that hardley anyone knew. i dont care that i dont get comments any more, ok well maybe I do, but that wouldnt stop me from writing in here, so that brings me to my next question.... what did? I havent posted in forever and that makes me sad :(. sorry diary! well heres whats going on in my life...
I am now in college, UCF to be precise... I live in a dorm with one roommate Arietty and two suitemates Alli and Danielle. I love all three of them. they are all really nice girls and im really lucky we all get along. Arietty is the best. When i first met her i got so scared cuz she is nothing like me... i noticed she had a ghetto ringtone and i almost died! i kept thinking there would be a "G-unit" poster hanging up above her bed. but no, she actually hates rap... she is just into hip, hop. <-hip hop i can do, i used to take hip hop classses lol. she even admits that she is a closet punk rocker!! yay!! i have deff. brought that out in her. the other day we were walking to our dorm and she started singing grand theft autumn. i stopped in my tracks and told her she just made my day! lol. we have decorated our room pretty nice if u ask me. i have a hugggge picture wall with all of my friends on it. its 4 normal sized posters taped together covered in a collage of pictures of everyone. i also have a huge dirty dancing poster above my bed and Arietty has this awesome black and white poster of Josh Hartnett over hers. we kinda wanted to do old hollywood theme with marilyn monroe, james dean, elvis, and frank sinatra. and we still are... we have small pics of all of those people except frank sinatra.
we also have a tv.. thank god cuz in like 4 days desperate housewives is coming back on!! woo hoo! we have two small fridges and a microwave. we have a room phone but no one really calls it cuz, well we have cell phones. Sharing a bathroom isnt bad at all... so far i havent needed to shower at the same time as anyone and none of us have been so rushed that we are banging on the door. we go to the gym... yeah not that often but we go. we have taken hip hop classes, abs bunz and thighs classes and yoga.. .they are alot of fun especially the hip hop. im soo white and cant really bust a move but its cool choreography and its fun to try lol!
my classes are ok, i mean they are classes but im doing well in em i guess. i love my schedule sooo much! my earliest class is at 12:30 and my latest class ends at 4:50 but that class is only once a week. i have 3 classes on monday and wednesday. two on tuesday and friday and one on thursday. parking here is absolutely insane! so i walk everywhere. On days when its sunny i love it... its really nice, i have my hot sunglasses and my ipod and im all set. i hate it when it rains tho cuz my umbrella sucks and its always flipping inside out like u see in the movies when its really windy. its kinda embarassing lol. its about a 25 minute walk to the communications building which is where my fist class is every day so its kinda far but i love people watching so its all good.
there is always something to do here. i love it. im in the skateboarding club which is just awesome. we all went bowling last night and according to my standards i didnt do too bad. I am trying to find out info on the guitar club cuz i havent seen any as of yet, i hope there is one cuz i brought my guitar up here so someone can teach me better! I also wanna join the photography club, but i have to find out info on them too cuz i havent seen anything as of yet.
one thing i miss is having a washing machine. i have only done laundry twice and once was at home over labor day weekend. i do mine at Dustin's apartment cuz he lives off campus with 3 other guys and they have a washing machine there. but i dont like going over there anymore cuz after this one night when i got a lil drunk i kinda madeout with his roommate matt and eww i hate that kid. its deff. nothing im proud of and i havent drank since but shit happens and im trying to forget it... its not that easy tho cuz his other roommate john is in my psych class and LOVES to remind me every day!
College is soo different from high school. its so much better! you have to be more independent. teachers wont tell u when something is due.. its written on the syllabus and that is basically ur bible for the entire semester. i learned that the hard way in more than one class. i have 3 tests next week. im really scared but i just have to cram and study my ass off and i should do fine. i had a pop quiz in my oral communications class (speech) and i got a 2/5. sucky.. but that was the class average. i know it still sucks but then i did a kick ass speech in which i presented this kid alex in our class to the rest of the class. i had a power point and it looked really awesome. i even made a shirt saying "Alex is my homeboy" instead of "Jesus is my homeboy". everyone loved it. lol i loved it. right now my roommate is doing a paper for her history class... its 2:15 am and i think i have sufficiently updated. i miss everyone at home soo much! i want you all to come and visit me! u could stay in my dorm! its actually a really nice size. well i hardley doubt anyone actually read all this anyways but if u did gracias!! lol. call me sometime guys i miss yall!
