GOOOO-BAMA

And...congrats to our Illinois Senator for his (presumptive) nomination (and might I add Presidency?  I think so).  I wanted to write about it last night but wanted to sleep on it and see what my feelings were.  You could tell last night I was a little fired up about Clinton (if you read that one).  But...I digress.  I suppose what I want to say is that it is a very historic time in the good ol' political system, and at the same time, it shouldn't have taken us this long to get here...I am proud of (not all) many states for supporting a person of non-white ethnicity, and I am proud of many (not all) states for supporting a girl.  However, it still saddens me when the exit polls showed that something like 20-25% of people in WV and KY DID NOT vote for Obama simply because he was black.  We've got a long way yet to go on racial equality, much less equality of other types (sexual, religious, and sexuality all come to mind), but at least we have taken these steps (these VERY LARGE STEPS) this year through both Clinton and Obama and their primary showings.

That is all I have on this for now.

As I did in the last election (referenced here http://thejeremy1.livejournal.com/2004/10/31/ (I only missed 2 states last time)), you can look forward to my releasing a colored map of my projections for the general election shortly.  Yes.

Much love to you all.
