name that manga
Does this yaoi manga sound familiar to anyone:
There's an elite squad that I think is military, but might be a secret/high-end police unit. I think they're American, but in any case they're definitely Western because when the new kid comes to join the squad, it's a big deal that he's Japanese. He's the replacement for a unit member who just died. I also think he knew the guy he's replacing, because I think that guy was stationed in Japan maybe? Um. Well, they had a fling, anyhow. No one knows about this, I'm pretty sure.
So the squad doesn't really trust this new guy, but there's this one guy, a big guy who thinks the kid is okay and breaks the ice with the others for him. But he's worried about the kid, because even though the kid is good at his job, he keeps to himself. So the big guy follows him, and it might be that he suspects the kid is into drugs--but it turns out the kid is picking up guys (or letting them pick him up) for one night stands.
The big guy thinks this is dangerous and confronts the kid about it, and then I seem to remember that he says if the kid needs to fuck to let off steam, he shouldn't go around with strangers, he should come to the big guy.
It could be that everything I said about the kid and the big guy is me misremembering, and it's actually about the kid and the guy who just died. There's a big guy on the squad, though.
Having typed out all of that and forced myself to remember as many details as possible, I must entertain the notion that this might be a GW fanfic, because for some reason I keep wanting to call the kid "Heero." *headdesk*
But does any of this sound even vaguely familiar to anyone?
