It seems like things are ramping up again with the protests downtown. Despite the 150,000 crest of protests, and the six weeks of protests, and the recalls, they Goppers are ramming through legislation that threatens the social and economic well-being of the state. Union Cab issued 46 preliminary layoff notices yesterday, because of one set of those cuts. We are going through a kind of cooperative hell trying to keep our friends employed. It sucks to tell someone through no fault of their own that they have no job (although I don't predict the layoffs will ultimately be as bad as is feared).
