There's quite a bit of unresolved tension stifling the flat's environment, especially since Howard isn't the type of person to just let a grudge go. He dwells upon it... and dwells upon it... and keeps on dwelling until someone gets hurt (or he gets some sense physically smacked into him).
The point in case?
It came to Howard's attention that his best mate of ten years had been snooping through his things. That infuriated him like nothing else, and even though Vince admitted to it, apologized, and let Howard know he hadn't read his journal lately, Howard wouldn't hear anything of it. Instead he dwelled... dwelled... got angry... kept on dwelling... was generally stubborn, and took to giving Vince problems around the flat for over a week.
If only Carmine was around. Maybe she would help Howard's temper get back under control.
Little did he know she was the cause of the problem in the first place.
