Remember when being a gamer meant you sat around a table with your friends and used your imagination to play role playing games. As opposed to nowadays, when being a gamer means you play the latest overpriced computer game over the internet. Rpg means bashing monsters for xp to level your character. Well last sunday I got together with a bunch of weird people (my friends) and we did the old RPG thing (as we do every 2nd sunday of the month).
Although, we didn't actually do the traditional RPG thing. We played a little game I like to call Capes Lite (I like to call it that because that is its name). It's lite because its not the full version, it's capes because it's about superheroes. What makes this different from traditional role playing is that there is no GM. In a way it's more interactive storytelling then a role playing game, but since you do play roles (at least one, probably more) I still think it qualifies as a role playing game. I can recommend Capes Lite to anyone looking for a fun, imaginative game that requires very little in the way of preparation. I'm not sure how it would do over the long term, but I guess that would rely on the group playing.
