Food and Fun
Christmas at my parents is great as ever, with great amounts of food being purchased, prepared and devoured. Aside from the minor culinary achievements which ever mark my entry into a kitchen we've had a big Turkey dinner (cooks: my mother and me) a big Christmas dinner featuring Roast Tenderloin (cook: My Mom, sous chef:My sister, cameo by me and my world famous in Bethesda 3 grain persian rice and appeltaart) a BIG Sushi dinner (cook:My sister in law) and we have yet to have a Big Prime Rib dinner(Cook: My Sister's SO, helpers as yet undetermined) . Please don't get the idea that the unmentioned nights were mere leftovers. Even when they were culinary greatness was achieved (My sisters turkey shepherds pie during the production of which no actual shepherds were harmed).
Sadly Saturday will see me flying back to Nederland. Happily this means a big New Years party at my place! There will be copious amounts of food, good drinks, games, good friends and just a generally good time.
