whee, time for an entry so long, no one'll read it!

Jul 27, 2004 22:07

i haven't updated this thing in about a month aside from song lyrics and shit, so this one might be kinda long. no one's going to read this entire entry unless i put key words in bold to keep everyone who's scanning ahead interested. so, in order to accomplish said task, i'll be strategically placing words such as beer and sex in seemingly random places throughout the entry at the ends of sentences. so if you're reading, and you happen to come across beer, sex, flaming bodily fluids or any other bold word at the end of a sentence where it doesn't make sense, just treat it like it's normal and move on.

today sucked. it took me 25 minutes to get out of bed, but i was only 10 minutes late for work, so my boss didn't care too much. the morning was boring 'cause there was nothing in the paper worth reading, and around noon, cole and i went to lunch like we always do. beer. then we get back and brian starts bitching because there was a run in the box and we didn't do it before we left. well, there were 2 other people in there that could have handled it, but evidently he didn't give a damn; he just decided to get pissy at us. later that day, cole and i were stacking boxes of paper in the hallway and cameron comes in and goes "i sure hope you're having fun throwing those boxes around, but could you stop it?! it's making too much noise!" first of all, asshole, we weren't throwing them, we were stacking them. liquor. secondly, you try to stack these things in this corner without making noise. they're HEAVY. if we put them down any lighter, our backs would break. i don't get paid enough to cause myself permanent back damage, dickweed. so later on i'm heading home, and it turns out that a beer truck jackknifed arcoss the northbound freeway and flipped over, causing all northbound traffic to be diverted from the freeway and into downtown chattanooga. to make matters worse, the thing flipped right over the 4th street on-ramp, so crates and cans of beer were falling off the freeway and onto cars (i shit you not). so all that traffic made getting home today a chore. sex

that was today. now bear with me as we flash back through the past month or so and i try to recall every mundane detail of the past month.

i suppose the highlight was vacation. i went up to michigan at the beginning of the month to spend time with friends and relax for a week. while it wasn't all fun and games, it sure beat the hell out of working every day. i went up and stayed the first night with sarah at her apartment because she agreed to graciously let me use her couch in exchange for me driving us both to gaylord (lololololol) for the euphonics 4th of july retreat. cheetos. the retreat was the highlight of the trip. i got to spend quality time catching up with most of my best friends and a lot of other good friends. plus we drank a lot. and i mean a LOT. after the retreat, we went to some summer camp for a gig that we got through dan. it was a lot more fun than i thought it would be; it put me in one of the best moods i'd been in in a while. then sarah, chels, dan, and i went to ann arbor to hang out and then back to albion and back to the couch. dirty word that pertains to the couch. went to GR the next day with chels and spent time with my family and meeting her friends, then took off early the next morning for birch run to go shopping with my grandmother who bought me lots of shit. then after dinner at the country club with my granddad and my uncles (they all had shitty rounds, so they bitched a lot of the time; it was funny). then after that, i left for bloomfield to stay with allison and her family for the remaining 4 nights. things didn't exactly go as i'd hoped (long story short, yes it hurts, i'm not over it, but i think i'm starting to get over it, don't ask about it unless i tell you about it), but i still had a good time. her family's cool. i got a kick out of her parents and her brother, who are seemingly some of the nicest and hospitible parents i've ever met. her sister's engaged now, so even though she'll never have reason to read this unless she's like some freaky stalker person (which she's not), congratulations alexys and greg. stalkers suck.

after hauling ass home (9 hours from north of detroit to my driveway... and no tickets!), nothing much has happened. took the car in to the dealer to have the transmission and brakes fixed. we got the brakes fixed, but the transmission estimate was too much, so we took it elsewhere, and then it stopped screwing up, so they couldn't diagnose it. so my car's pissing me off. pregnant. oh well, i suppose i'll drive it until it breaks and then get it fixed. damn thing is turning into a bottomless money-eating machine. it's not my money, but i'm wondering when dad's gonna get too pissed to keep fixing it. sex. oh, and i'm playing guitar on a regular basis again. i bought a book (guitar for idiots!), and i'm trying to cram in as much practice as i can before school starts so my teacher doesn't shoot me. it keeps me occupied and now that i can change chords and sing at the same time halfway well, it's becoming rather enjoyable. let's see... not much else has happened. the weekends have been enjoyable. got drunk at owen's two weekends ago and at robert's last weekend. oh, i did my first golden crown shot on friday. (golden crown = 195 proof pure-grain alcohol). that was an experience... i haven't decided whether it was a good one or not. but i was REAL happy for the rest of the night.

coming up on the calender is big and rich and tim mcgraw in nashville (but it's a big maybe) this sunday; tsali trip the next weekend, last day of work on the 12th, and large frat party at auburn on the 13th. should be a decent way to close out the summer, but i sure can't wait to get back to albion... 18th... less than a month... CAN'T WAIT. singing monkey.

later mofos.
