On dogs being dogs

Certain recent events that have transpired at home have led me to believe that the common white-tailed rabbit is dumber than a box of rocks.

GET THIS:  We live in the middle of farmland.  Most of it's even lying fallow this year. There is plenty of acreage where a mommy bunny could safely leave her nest.  The fields.  The copse separating the fields from our neighborhood.  Our neighbors back yard.  Our neighbors side yard.  Our neighbors FRONT yard.

OUR front or side yard.

Yet, where did this mommy bunny decide to put her nest, AGAIN, for a second year in a row?
...
Right smack dab in the middle of our back yard, which has got to positively absolutely REEK of dog (to a bunny's sensitive nose).

I do not get.

NOW!
Back to reading inordinate amounts on Tennessean slavery.
Honors cannot be worth this.

PS Have not forgotten promise to post fairy tale story. Final copy not yet due. Possibly, I am procrastinating like there is no tomorrow.
