oh dear god. The US population just elected ANOTHER idiot for twelve years straight. I think we can officially rival Mexico. Or Zimbabwe.
One who wants to bankrupt one of the largest industries we have left, and thus make us even more enslaved for foreign energy sources...
...and who think welfare states of huge populations actually work...AND

I meant that I wanted her to win the party elect, not the presidency. My bad, there.
Where does the McCain comment fit in, really? I was asking you (originally universal, but now you, since you admitted to voting party line democrat) WHY you believe the hype and rhetoric, not whether you thought McCain would've been alright.
And...I'm not even going to comment on the libertarian thing. It is equally too insulting and too easy.
Obama wants to bankrupt the coal industry, but is not interested in increasing nuclear power and doesn't have the money to instigate a network for renewable resources--so basically, he wants to entrench us into foreign energy even more. He feels that it is alright to take my money and redistribute it on an arbitrary system of skin color. He wants to raise taxes at least to the rates of the Clinton Administration. He thinks that a welfare state works, and he wants to implement its policies. He seems to hate small businesses for reasons I just don't get. He says he wants to restore peaceful negotiations with the M.E.--and then he appoints a Jew as his C.o.S. He thinks affirmative actions not only works, but is fair, and he wants to increase its use. I don't QUITE know what he plans to do with my dad's 401-K, but I don't think it's entirely constitutional, and for crying out loud he LIKES the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE!
And if he manages to implement even ONE of these ridiculous ideas--which he can, because he's also got the Senate and House eating out of his back pocket-- my life will VERY MUCH BE radically changed.
...kay, I have an exam tomorrow~

It fits in because you're criticizing him before he's even done anything. Does everyone who votes for Obama believe the hype and rhetoric? Some, like myself, actually read his platform, and agree with it. The thing about McCain was simply my perspective, if McCain had won. I wouldn't bother criticizing him before he's even taken office.
My comment about libertarianism is 100% true. They'll never be anything more than a local party, and Libertarian Republicans tend to just look moronic (e.g. Ron Paul) or they just leave the party. Would you have liked McCain? Probably not, once he took office. But, if you liked him, please correct me.
About coal, he wants coal use to not pollute as much (clean coal, as it's called). His state gets half of its electricity from nuclear power, and he's never said he wants them closed, so I doubt your comment about nuclear power.
Doesn't have the money? That's what taxes are for.
Yes, he supports affirmative action. Black people have been royally fucked over -- it's only natural that we repay them. Simply equalizing the playing field isn't enough, if you ask me.
The economy experienced its longest peacetime growth during the Clinton administration. The dot com bubble, the peak wage earning years for baby boomers, and many other factors contributed to this, not the tax rate, or how low or high it was.
He believes in the welfare state, just like every other developed country, and even the Republicans, to some extent. Don't you want some kind of protection if you wind up unemployed? I certainly do.
He hates small businesses? You'll have to explain that one.
As for the Middle East, Israel is one of those countries. Iran acts the way it does because we meddled in its internal affairs far too often under the Shah, and we're still paying for it. The Iranian people are one of the most pro-American people out there; just talk to one on the Internet.
Affirmative action is fair, as long as racism and sexist exist, and they always will. I'd give affirmative action 50 more years, personally.
From what I've read, he has no intention of bringing back the fairness doctrine. You'll have to explain the 401K thing too.
Please give an example of how your life will change.
I look forward to another round of Democrats vs. Libertarians.
