Yesterday and the more personal side...

So yesterday was a pretty good rave of what I've been learning and training for at OCS. Or as they call it, "screening and evaluating". That was more of a revelation of things that have been piled on me and stressed to me for the last weeks of my life and needed to push that off to get some relaxation in. So here comes some more of life as I've had it the last few weeks.
Starting off, I came in to OCS at a 36 inch waist, and so far I have dropped down to at least a 34 if not smaller by the time I get out of here in two weeks. I have really dropped weight and am glad about it. I was getting on the chubby side of life. Not where I wanted to be. So this has been the ass kicker to put me back where I need to be. Or at least a lot closer than I was. I'll have to continue to work on it at home, but that won't be hard, my brothers want to work out with me so they will keep me going strong and hard on it. Can't wait to get back home to them. And my truck. But that's another story.
I have been pushed physically here, but the classroom stuff hasn't been hard at all. Go in and listen to the classes, study what you need to, and go in and regurgitate what they want to hear. Nothing bad. Have an essay test coming up and another test on it's back, but once those are done, I have no more stuff to worry about on the academic side of the house. It will be done and out of the way. Leadership will go all the way through to the end, but that's an everyday thing anyway, so nothing new there. Physical stuff for this week: CRT, 12 mile hump, final E-course, and final PFT. For the final week of OCS: Log drills, 5 mile indiv. run, abs and push/pull drill and CVF, field day, and then the moto run with the BC on Thursday. That shouldn't be too bad at all. But like I've done all the way through and will continue to do until done, take everything one thing at a time, focus on one event at a time and keep on moving. It's works so far and I know that continuing on that path will get me to the end of my time here. I only have 8 more real days here training. The weekend is all liberty and Thursday for half the day is family day and Friday we graduate at 0900, so cut those two off the roster and bam, I'm that much closer!!! Cut out the first three days of the final week because they are all PT and then outprocessing and then grad practice, so that kills them. I have 5 more days, one more week of full training and I'm done. All I have to do is make it through this week and I'm set. Not completely, but close enough :)
Alright, all for now and it's about time for the next soccer game to start, so I'm rolling out of here to go watch me some more of my favorite sport in the friggin world!!!!
