For: gray_queen By: groundwave Title: Perfect Circle Pairing: Tezuka/Fuji Rating: G Summary: How it begins, and why it won't-can't-end. Disclaimer: I neither own nor profit from the Prince of Tennis. A/N: Happy White Day! :D
OMG ::bounces up and down in her seat:: Can I say how much I love this? I’m trying to get myself together for a good review but the fangirl in my head is basically incoherent with glee.
Where to start? The wonderful characterization; you made Fuji awesomely human, I adored the beginning, when he’s getting over Yuuta’s departure and still manages to comfortably trick everyone into thinking he’s fine. Well, everyone except Tezuka, who is a great dork while trying to hide the fact that he tried to help (in high school too!). And gahhh their unspoken understanding of each other is soooo cute (sleeping in each other’s bed! ::spazzzzz::), you wrote them just the way I love to see their dynamic.
The little progression through the years and snapshots of life were adorable too, I particularly liked the image of Tezuka being surprised at Fuji’s catcti. I was also just about rolling on the floor at Fuji wanting to take a wreaking ball to Tezuka’s house.
AND GOD THE MATH. Such great use of metaphor! l’hôpital’s rule (is that maybe a reference to limits and abilities and their career choices I see? :D :D ) and Cartesian planes and the points and the score over the years and and and you make one engineering student a very happy fangirl.
And I’ll stop blathering now, but thank you a million times over for writing this <3
