This is amazing and brilliant in so many ways. ASSASSIN AU. You have no idea how much I love the idea, and you pulled it off so well! lajdsfls this is sexy, sweet, and absolutely gorgeous.

Firstly, your humor is AWESOME, not lame at all.
"I can see it, then...if Pillars suddenly sprouted hand-painted scowls and started shooting at anything that moved." Fantastic! Your Fuji is wonderful.

"There're always choices. Like your choice to wear that hideous lavender shirt every single time we get free time and I manage to get you to take me on a date," That made me laugh so much. It's so in-character for both of them.

"So your idea of retirement is to scare people shitless," Tezuka asked, amused as they walked, realising belatedly that Fuji had guided him toward another love hotel.

"Isn't that everyone's?" Fuji replied blithely, a bounce in his step. I'm cracking up again reading that part. XD

And Fuji's artwork! I know it's morbid of me to love it, but I really, really do. The fact that Tezuka tells him not to but doesn't actually stop him from doing it makes me happy. ♥

These couple lines made me melt:
Tezuka held him tighter. "I suppose that makes me your second," he asked, trying to make a joke, despite the morbidity of the conversation.

Fuji hummed, closing his eyes. "Tezuka, you've always been my first."

There were moments, like these, when Fuji was completely honest, serious, giving him a mere glance of his soul, and in those moments, Tezuka would swear that he might just love him. asjkdhfds so lovely.

You wrote Echizen and his relationship to them so well too, and Atobe and Yukimura! I am so in love with this fic. You included everything I wanted and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! And I'm sorry this comment is so ridiculously long, but I couldn't help myself. ♥♥♥!!

I'm such an ass for not responding sooner. I want to say I'm SO SO SO SO relieved. I wanted so much to not fail at it. I had fun writing this, though and I tried to make the dynamics the same...or close.

As for Echizen. I've always found him tricky to write. I wanted to mirror the whole Power triangle dynamic found in the series. With the pillaring between Tezuka and Ryoma and the competitiveness between Fuji and Ryoma. So, I'm glad it worked for you.
