Hospital - Monday 9:05 AM

My shift was about to start. I hadn't even bothered asking Dr. Kelso, all he really wanted was as many doctors working as it was possible, anyway. It was funny, walking back into the hospital, side by side with Perry, after what seemed like ages. Scrubs on, robotic looking CAM, cane in hand and wearing Perry's lab coat, which I must admit looks ( Read more... )

Ah, young Doctor Dorian.. is wearing Cox's lab coat? Well, at least now he has a halfway reasonable excuse for ignoring my memos to wear his lab coat, "Hey sport! So glad you could join us, I was just about to start looking for your replacement," I chuckle, before turning very stern and narrow my gaze, "No really. I was. I assume you've been cleared to come back to work?" I give him a wink, knowing I sure as hell hadn't cleared him. But who cares? With the recent new hires, on top offering Molly Clock her old job, the hospital couldn't afford to find another new attending physician.

I scratch my head and resist the urge to point out that firing someone on medical leave is against the law. At least, I think it’s against the law. Maybe not. I could have read that part wrong. At the very least Dr. Dorian could sue the hospital . . . I think.

“It’s good to see you back in the hospital Dr. Dorian. Though if I were you I would have run away and never come back.” Everyone seems to be looking at me so I laugh weakly like that was a joke.

I'm not exactly sure why JD snagged my lab coat and then protested when I attempted to get it back. Hell, if he wants to wear it, fine. He looks slightly ridiculous in it, and adorable, since it's too big. If he wants something of mine for the day, I can't deny him that.

I flash a grin at Big Bob as he and his lapdog are the first two to greet us on JD's return. "Of course he's been cleared." By me, anyway. "I'm sure you're just glad to have another warm body to order around here, Bobbo. Though it would be terrific if you could go easy on him today, if that's even possible for you to manage."

I toss a confused look over at Ted. "Good day already, then, Teddy?"

I frown as I watch Kelso speak, and I don't really need to say anything as Perry starts doing all the talking. I lift my chin, proudly standing next to Perry as he gives his very awesome speech to Bobbo. I'll start calling him that too, why the hell not. Then Ted says something very depressing. "Thank you, Ted." I nod, feeling slightly uncomfortable, but soon notice the big red stain on Ted's shirt. "Ted, you've got some red on you."
