I believe that feminism was more about respect and equal rights than it was about no longer allowing men to do things for us. Perhaps at that time chivalry had been mutated into some form of domination, but I doubt it is still intended as such.
Okay. I have not changed my opinion, I am simply specifying.
I think chivalry is all about respect...therefore, if there is a praticular girl who would rather open the door for herself, then it would be unchivalrous to not allow her to do that.
I would like to go on the record as loving not having to open doors for myself...it takes a lot of effort.
