Oh geeze.
So next Tuesday is my first official working day. It's in a part of the Disney property I have never even heard of before now, and I have to be there 15 minutes early for check in, and they lock the doors of this place when it starts so if I'm late I'm well...screwed! :D Because of this my madre decided that the best course of action would be to take a test drive to this place before I have to be there, and so we did that today. The fun part about living so close to Disney is I barely have to make any turns. To get to the parks? I take absolutely no turns whatsoever. To get to this place I took all of three turns. And I'm making this drive at 5:30 am on Tuesday so I'll have no traffic to worry about whatsoever!
On the back of this brochure given to me last time I went in is an address, directions and a map. There's a reason for this map. XD Anyway! So we're using the map, and there's this hotel near a turn I need to make with a giantic pineapple on it. We missed the turn, but we didn't know it. So we're driving, driving, driving...can't figure out where on the map we are. This isn't anything like the map. But it sure is pretty! Driving, driving, driving...we come up to another road. We can either go left or go right. If we go straight we go into this neighborhood. Don't wanna go that way! So we keep driving, turning left. Man, this place looks weird. Should we really be here?
This isn't good. We took a street and just kept following along it! We passed a really pretty abbey, a church, some communities, that neighborhood had a deaf kid in it, and then...oh! Okay. Cool. A shopping center! How weird. This doesn't look right at all, this map SUCKS! So the whole time we're complaining because Disney gave us a piece of crap map that isn't even right and obviously whoever made this map is stupid and should be fired. Because we were given directions that don't WORK! And oh man, it would be nice if they'd give us LANDMARKS. Could we have a street or two? We didn't see ANY of these streets anywhere on the map!
It was about when we passed a really fancy health center that we went "...Check the map again." So we did. And then we looked up at what was around us.

Oh...oh, we're...we're in Ocoee...how did we mess this up?!
So naturally this meant that we just wasted 20 minutes to an hour. So we had to go allll the way back to Orlando!

So that was there we were. We ended up backtracking until we reached the giant pineapple and that was when we saw it. The turn that we missed. We couldn't stop laughing it was just SO funny. We took the turn then, annnnd...well...it took like 10 minutes. It was EXACTLY like it is on the map too we couldn't believe just how badly we messed this up.
Because I'm going to be doing this at 5:30 in the morning? We rewrote the directions a little.
