...and still falls the rain.

Not so long ago on a very rainy Sunday afternoon, I was home alone.
And I was being emo about many things. Yes, many things. And I thought, maybe some apple juice would make me feel better.
So I went down to the kitchen.

I saw my dear friend Mao staring at me from outside the kitchen window.

d'awww.

Brain: It is raining. Mao looks lonely. I am lonely. Mao does not like wet. I should let Mao in.

So I opened the window and my stripey-grey  friend crawled in, following which he demanded food.

"Meowww. Maoo. Aoooow. Meowww." ( here meaning 'I am hungry and I am cold can you be a nice human thing and feed me.')

So I gave him the food and sat beside him cross-legged on the floor and watched him eat.

Ah, Mao, such a carefree life you have. Not a worry in the world! I am jealous.
I then continue emo-ing while sitting down beside the fuzzy fellow. Just my fuzzy friend and me.

Oh look, you're done with your meal, Mao. Perhaps you could enlighten me a bit on how I can cheer myself up.

Mao proceeded to jump into my lap and curl up into a warm, fuzzy little ball of cat.
Why hey, he's never done that before. Heck, it's warmer this way, let's just let him stay here a while, I guess.

...

A few minutes later I poke the cat.
Alas! The Mao is asleep!

Oh, my. MY CAT SNORES.
Ain't that the darndest thing!

Awww.

Not long after that I remember that my main objective was to raid the fridge for apple juice. thus I decided to wake Mao up.

I open the kitchen door and shoo him out.

"Meoowwwr." ( here meaning 'Why you make me go out into cold place. Your face looks stupid. You need to cheer up more. Now. And next time give Mao more prawns. Mao like. But Mao think your lap is good place for sleeping. Bye bye Deb.') and he trots out into the garden.

Hey, the rain's stopping.
I felt better then, already.

Thank you, Mao.
