Can you not make your own wings to suit your tastes after this curse?

No. I can regenerate what I already have. I can't create anything new on myself, unfortunately. I rather like flying.

You can?

Perhaps you could find a way to gain more control of your body? Obviously, it can already regenerate. A little tinkering with its map may let it regenerate another part... You could perhaps trick it into thinking it already had wings in the first place.

I could, given proper preparations. Of course, the fact is that I already have wings.

Oh? You would know how to evolve my abilities?

Perhaps you should elaborate. How would this 'tinkering' be done?

Perhaps. I did evolve this body's abilities.

Back in our world, special kinds of crystals, Cruxis crystals, allowed for near infinite possibilities in body modification and evolution. Something trivial as wings would have been easy to achieve there.

Infinite. How intriguing. It's a pity you don't have any of these crystals here -- or do you?

I have mine, of course.

I am in the process of recreating them here.

And I'm sure you're not giving it away. Heh.

Perhaps we could negotiate?

Would it help to know that I'm not the only one equipped with such a thing? Of course, it pretty much becomes a part of you, and evolves with you...

You do realize what associating with the likes of me would bring about? Those from my world do not think I am... very good, shall we say? From their viewpoint, of course.

Perhaps. I'd like to know who, of course, or your information does nothing for me.

And I am the same in my world. I've no qualms about associating with you. What have youdone?

Those from my world. Do you wish to gain ownership of their crystals?

Nothing bad. I did try to save our world from imminent destruction. But very few appreciate my, they say, harsh methods. I believe they only wished to defy.

It's an intriguing idea...

Ah, I understand your situation. A pity no one saw you in a different light.

The crystals become a part of you, eh? Does this not mean that to obtain a crystal for me, you would be obligated to destroy a citizen of your own world?

No offense, but do you think you would be able to defeat them? Such crystals not only enhance the body for vanity, but they do actually enhance their battle prowess.

I like the way you think.

However, that is not truly necessary. One only needs to gain possession of one such crystals and let it, perhaps, get used to your mana signature.

I'd prefer letting a Cruxis Crystal evolve from its lowest form, an expshere, so that it would grow and naturally become in synch with your body naturally. Of course, since I have not been ultimately successful with my attempt to recreate an exsphere from scratch, that method is acceptable.

And come to think of it, to ensure they could no longer reclaim the crystal from you, you'd have to indeed, incapacitate them to an extent. Maim them and render them useless in battle but not kill them as that would cause their bodies to regenerate to their original forms.

I am the infinite telomerase -- I can regenerate anything, even my entire body. I cannot die. I'm no trifle in a battle.

And because of this, if I simply obtained a crystal and it synched with me, they probably wouldn't be able to remove it from me, yes? Are these crystals worn on the body, or placed in the body somehow? Integrated, I suppose?

Who possesses these crystals here in the City? How many are there? A mild concern is strength in numbers.

Truly? Such interesting abilities. How did you end up with such?

There are roughly six of us here with such crystals. Half of us have had our crystals for a good few thousand years. As a result... well, you can guess. The others, however... they've only had it for a while and mostly wear it as ornaments. Their bodies have not fully evolved either to its greatest potentials.

I was created as such. I am not a human -- I'm a URTV, an U-DO Retrovirus unit. There are four of us here, and we all have separate abilities.

Ornaments, eh? Could one be stolen, perhaps? Who would be more capable of this, you or I? You know your world citizens more than I.
