Just realized after reading Nick’s LJ that Rob is doing another season of Webcam. Good luck for the both of you two. It was an awesome experience for both of the seasons I was in. I would tell people to apply, but all of the people on my friends list I believe have already played. So… just watch.
So, I’m officially 20 today. I feel three pound heavier eighteen hair strands lighter... other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. I’m probably going to go out with Jody tonight. Her birthday is a day before mine. Not sure what I’m going to do. OH! So, I gave my dad a call because he wanted to send me an insurance card, due to my mother losing mine. Quite an interesting conversation though. It goes a little something like this:
Dad: So, you’re going to be 21 now. That’s awesome…
Brian: Um, actually 20. *oddly laughs*
Dad: Oh, well, I was only one off! *laughs uncomfortably*
Brian: *laughs uncomfortably as well*
Granted, I don’t really blame him. We’ve probably only spoken maybe five times in my life, and at least he’s making an effort. I don’t expect him to be father of the year or anything. We’ll probably be going to a soccer game together soon though. It should be fun.
I think this happened a week ago, but I still remember it. It’s kind of strange. I was getting gas, unfortunately, and there was this guy that walked up to me. I wasn’t all that excited about it in the first place because I wasn’t in all that great of a neighborhood, so I said hi and waited for what he had to say. Here’s how he introduced himself, “Hey, I just got of jail and I was wondering where I can get a cheap motel at?” I did help him out and everything and he did seem fairly nice… for a felon. Anyway, I think if you’re going to introduce yourself to someone, saying that you just got out of jail wouldn’t be all that great of an opener for striking conversation.
Work is going fine. There’s this lazy ass guy that I work with that wanted to buddy up with me and share our commission. Now, I only work twenty-four hours a week and this guy works at least thirty-plus. I was looking over at the commission charts and I got way more than him and I work far less than him. He can take maybe up to three hours on a car. I can’t do that. I can’t help but think about the people who are waiting. I wasn’t on the receiving end not too long ago, so I’m pretty keen on getting these cars out A.S.A.P. and I make sure they are done properly. I think part of it is my work ethic too though. Oh, I got a much better check too.. wheee. I guess that’s it for now. Adios.
