He's Here!
It's a long story (that's certainly worthy of telling) - but as most moms would understand, I don't have much time or energy right now to devote to the entire "birth story". Suffice to say that Thomas Robert was born Monday September first at 5:22 AM by an emergency c-section. His umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, arm, and leg - and my amniotic fluid (which rupture a few short hours before) was stained with meconium.
He weighed a healthy 7lbs 4oz - and was only 19 inches long. He's got black hair - and slate gray eyes (which will almost certainly change in color). He loves breastfeeding, but hates diaper changes.
I am so sore, and tired - but I've never been so happy in my entire life!
As soon as I figure out how to post a picture - I will. (LiveJournal is not nearly as easy as it used to be IMO).
