I don't know. I need information. I don't know enough about the legal system here to act with effectiveness on behalf of my friends, and besides which I am stuck out of town until Friday night. Anything you or anyone else could post here would be useful.

All we know is they are in Pacific Station Jail with bail set at 20K for, get this, "blocking traffic"? Unfortunately this is all secondhand information. Argh.

And the crazy ass thing? When they were shoved by police and beaten by them, they were already on the sidewalk, WALKING AWAY from the police. Why weren't the ones still in the streets arrested? Were they just easier to attack because they were on the sidewalk behind a bus?

This has to be stopped!

Send the video link to your senators and congressmen, and tell them that you expect them to act on this human rights violation, promptly. Here's where you can find their contact information.

Also? Send the video to every local newspaper you can find. The matter can't be suppressed, if grass roots viral spread overtakes the official suppression, and embarrassment will force the people responsible to fess up instead of pretending it didn't happen.
