Political Missive

I've just read that Barack Obama is now the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee! Excellent. Hopefully he'll go all the way and make good on those promises on making the world (and, presumably, America) a better place. Pigs aren't flying quite yet, but there's certainly the sound of fluttering of wings in the air.

I suppose that if you are as rich as you can be and have more money then you can spend then you are bound to crave power rather than material goods.

I also think that at least they are doing something they believe in. Think of the millions that are spent by ordinary people via voting lines each year on dross reality TV shows and obscene talent shows. That's where the problem lies.

well in the end if she would have succeeded she would easily made the money back, and she will only have to write a novel about it to make double that back.
the worrying thing about the phone voting is probably going to be how we do elections in a few years time. how do you solve a problem like britain kind of thing. we can have gordon and david try out in debating, math, and how they would fare in phantom of the opera. sad thing is it would probably get more votes than the conventional system:P
