Naomi Novik, author of the Temeraire series, is sponsoring a fanart contest to collect fanart pieces for a chapbook which will be sold to benefit the Organization for Transformative Works, which apparently works to support "fanworks and fan cultures." Details for the contest are in her LJ post:
