The power's out and we don't even have a place to stay? This is ridiculous, yeah. Someone's obviously trying to do something to us.
[The sound of papers shuffling, he drops something. A muffled curse or two can be heard.]
Worst part is, it's still damn hot outside. The office has a generator, I'm here now. But we're all consolidated to a couple floors and everyone is all up in each other's space, even with most people out of the office for the time being. Everyone's tempers are flaring and it's getting tiresome quickly.
I spent almost three hours trying to get a hotel room downtown this morning. Their computer systems were down and it took a few choice words to get a room. It's damn suspicious, I never have problems with stuff like that.
That being said, if anyone's really in need of a place to stay, I've got one room. The generator at the hotel isn't fantastic, so there's limited air conditioning and no TV. There's also just one bed.
