Sekanjabin

Aug 09, 2009 20:45

I just cooked up a batch of Sekanjabin, a syrup that is mixed with water that is very refreshing. Here's the recipe I used:

1 cup sugar
3/8 cups water
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
handful of mint

1) Dissolve sugar in water on the stove medium to high heat.
2) Add apple cider vinegar and bruised/torn mint leaves.
2) Keep on medium to low heat for 15-20 minutes to reduce.
4) Strain out mint leaves, allow to cool.

Add small amount to 5-10 times as much water. Yummy stuff. :-)
