Time for a little In the News/Periodic update with P Pizzle.
Life has been GOOD!
So friday, my random boss, who was DEAD SET on not letting me off for Dave's engagement concert, for whatever reason, found no harm in letting me off this friday at the drop of a hat ha, which is cool i guess. I guess because it was going to be a low key night with no Astros game. Let me tell ya, not working on friday night for the first time in months, AND, playing music instead PLUS getting paid for it, felt amazing!!! Friday night generally makes me want to go Milton from Office Space style on buffalo wild wings. 'um, i will burn this building down'. Why you ask?
Lets see, last week i simultaniously had a white trash table, who brought their OWN TUBES OF RANCH to a wing place and demanded i comp everything, a table of 25 "canadians" who where on their way to kappa, who rang up a 200 dollar tab and left me 15 bux for 3 hours of my time, and a large table of Non English speakers, who left the 8 year old boy to tell me everyone's order. WOW "Welcome to America! Now speak English.." See People ha, i need to get out of waiting tables, it has made me as jaded about people and society as a 75 year old man.
This week, i purchased Meet The Fockers! Oh yeah! Hilarious movie.
Been jammin some new tunes, both heavy and soft.
new heavy bands i love
1.) Children of Bodom
2.) The Showdown (produced by Bruce from Living Sacrifice, gold)
3.) Necrophagist
4.) Origin
5.) Cephalic Carnage
6.) Into the Moat
7.) and probably one of my favorite death/at the gates-esque Finish metal bands, who also happen to be down with J.C..... EXTOL, this band rules so much, and have one of the best drummers ive ever seen live, probably the best.
Not so heavy bands
1.) New Acceptance of course is amazing, and the album came out today.
2.) New Copeland, thats a given.
3.) Lux Courageous
4.) Anberlin, blah blah nothing really new in this column actually
Its actually way harder to find any good new pop rock/punk thats coming out. Sometimes, the music will be half way decent, and then the vocals kick in, and i turn it off immeadiatly.
Um Lets see, what else.
So the catholic church's new Jesus, i mean Pope was finally picked last week. Thank Goodness. I was sick of seeing the PopeBowl XXXVXIII on every channel all day long. I think i saw some Pope foam fingers out there.
Generally, about once a year, i get in the mood to go clothes shopping. Saturday was that day. Talk about discouraging. I either need to lose a few pounds in the midsection, which i dont wanna do cause its taken me so long to gain what i have, or i need to fatten up a size, which will also be hard. So , im pretty much destined to never go to a store again. CURSE YOU 36x36!!!!!!!!! And shoes?? HAHAHAHAH FORGET IT! Express for men is my fav cloths store, and i am suck a thrifty nickel that i cant hardly give over 30 bux for a shirt. So my one day i was in the mood to shop, i came out with a smoothie ha.
