Oh my, it's really empty here!
OK, we need a huge update *dusting off the journal*
First, just have to say that I am currently dealing with the worst English-teacher EVER. He's probably the worst teacher I've ever had in any subject!
He doesn't care about if he is rude to the students or if he doesn't explain why he doesn't like a certain idea - he's just "no, that I do not like" and walks away!
On top of it all, half of the class is better at talking English than he is (!)
OK, now that is out of my mind, off to the next part
I am doing two big projects in school this year, and for one of them I really need Your Help! It is in English and we are supposed to plan a trip to either England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland. I would love to do this project with someone who lives there, because of two reasons
- I get to work with someone that I am not used to work with, something that will be a great experience
- There's no way that I am going to be able to use my Swedish! (and this class is about learning English and use English, not using Swedish just because of that you're tired)
So, I have one suggestion that I am right now really interested in and it is about theatre!
I have always been interested in theatre and I have been in three different plays (one of them a musical). The thing is that, somehow, the interest in theatre is not exactly big in Sweden.
I mean we have a lot of gorgeous theatres and a lot of good playwriters, but somehow it feels like here theatre is for "the rich and the old". I, personally, believe that it is a bit different in England and I want to know why.
So I want to go to England and see what kind of people visit the theatre there - if it's just my imagination that it is more popular for different ages or if I am actually right.
I am planning on contacting the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company) and also do some research. And, of course, go to a play.
If you are interested in doing this with me, please contact me right away!
NOTE: I haven't had this approved by my teachers yet and even if they approve, it's not completely certain that I will go - my headmaster will be deciding which groups that should be sent once we all start to prepare.
I should get my teachers approval by tomorrow (hopefully)
