my semi-annual update.
I am excited and generally feeling good at the moment for the following reasons, in no particular order:
1. Spain is coming up in about 2 1/2 months. I am spending large amounts of time planning/researching right now, and with each new thing I read or learn I get more and more excited.
2. I have started working on writing a children's book. I have what I think is a really, really good idea, and I've enlisted the help of a very talented friend of mine to do the illustrating. Part of the research involved in this is reading lots and lots of books geared toward the age group I'm interested in targeting, which is really. I wish life always stayed as sweet and simple as children's stories.
3. I really like the new band I'm playing in. Jason, me, and a kid we found from the Stranger. I'm playing cello, and we're doing stuff kind of in the same vein as Erase Errata. I'm excited to move forward and get to the point of shows/recording again.
4. I love Jason tremendously.
5. Tomorrow is a holiday, so I can spend the whole day thinking about the fact that I don't have to go to work but I still get paid like I was. The novelty of paid holidays has definitely not worn off for me.
6. Today I get to see not one but THREE of my friends who I haven't seen in a really long time.
There are other things as well, but those are certainly the ones that come most immediately to mind.
