updated wealth altar

Aug 31, 2008 18:21

this past week i spent in the city taking care of my friends cat and apartment. before i left i did some rearranging of my atars and today i came across a giant diamond for my wealth corner.

before i left for my week in the city i did some EFT for some anxieties i  was having about money and made a choice statement about feeling abundant and satisfied. i definately felt abundant this week and the diamond is my reminder of the wealth available to me.

here are photos of the updated altar

from left to right:

Beautiful Lakshmi with a stone offering bowl of aventurine and carnelian.

Ebisu, one of the 7 Gods of Fortune/Luck from Japan.
Ebisu is also the only deity among the seven to originate in Japan. Today he symbolizes not only safe sailing and plentiful fishing, but business prosperity for merchants in all trades. In artwork, Ebisu is often paired with Daikoku (Hindu origin; god of agriculture & rice).

Kuan Yin / Kwannon  print by Mayumi Oda. This print is called "Goddess Hears People's Needs and Comes."

Sitting on a gold box filled with manifestation decrees is Hotei, god of contentment, happiness, abundance and good health.

Kannon (Kuan Yin / Guan Yin) by Mayumi Oda,
silkscreen titled: GODDESS COMING TO YOU; CAN YOU COME TO HER?

Daikokuten (Daikoku), god of wealth, commerce and trade.
in front of Ebisu and Daikoku are my business cards.

a beautiful print of the Tri Devi. The conjoined image of three especially popular manifestations of the Hindu Divine Mother: Lakshmi (wealth/material fulfillment), Parvati (love/spiritual fulfillment), and Saraswati (learning and arts/cultural fulfillment).
in front of her is an offering bowl of orange calcite.

a bell that I use for space clearing.

in front of Hotei is the giant diamond. In front of the diamond are various forms of the laughing buddha that have been given to me by my parents and friends.

in the center of those buddhas is a giant sand dollar given to me by a fellow elements of magick student last year. beside them are some fortunes  about abundance and happiness from some fortune cookies i got a few months ago. surrounding the sand dollar are pieces of citrine.
