Pants are good.

After buying the material and cutting out most of the pieces over a year ago, I've finally finished a new pair of Federal issue trousers. For the first time in four years, I've got a clean pair of pants that has all of its buttons, and is free of holes, mud stains, and such, though that's sure not going to last long.

Had a very 1850s evening with Annie last Friday. Took the History Society from school on a tour of 19th century sites in Manhattan, but what was supposed to be an all day thing had to be crammed in an hour and a half. After sending them home, I met up with Annie downtown, and we had dinner on Baxter St., went for a stroll up Broadway and scoffed at the snooty, trendy stores, stopped at Astor Place, and took in a show (Marc's Stalag 17 in Brooklyn).

It was quite good, and I tried to glare down the fellow who played Shapiro but he didn't notice. The jerk marked my original WW2 officer's shirt with his name in permanent marker. He was a good actor, but inspired by our visit to Astor Place earlier, I was set to heave a chair on stage, which would have been no problem. The chairs weren't bolted down or anything.

Got a special thanks for loaning my uniforms, but got the best misspelling of my name I've come across yet - Jason Wintersby.

Rediscovered one of the best cartoons ever - Freakazoid.
