Temple Court

Back in November I got a rare invite to come shoot this building in NYC. Originally known as Temple Court, now people refer to it as 5 Beekman St. Built in 1882 it was mainly an office building for lawyers due to it's proximity to city hall. In 1940 the entire atrium had to be boarded up due to fire code violations. It remained that way until the last decade when someone discovered what was hidden beneath those boards. For the last few years it has slowly been getting fixed up. Allegedly it will soon change hands, or may already have, to a new owner who will fix it up and turn it into a hotel at a cost of $50,000,000. Although I would bet that is a conservative figure considering the location and man power that would take.
