Theater

These photos are the culmination of 3 different trips to this place. I sat on these photos for a while because I was just not happy with the results. So I went over and actually just did a lot of them as single exposures instead of HDRs and I was a lot happier with them. This theater actually started out as a gymnasium in the late 1800s with the city's first indoor pool in the basement. It was later transformed into a theater called the Auditorium. A name change and many decades later it finally went out of business in the mid 1980s. In the late 1990s the roof caved in and destroyed most of the building as you can see.

Last time I was in this place was 3 years ago. After that the way in got secured and we could never get back in. My original photos were just hand-helds and were horrible so I really hoped this would open up again some day. One Sunday a few weeks ago we were in the area and noticed a new hole had opened up. So we have made several trips back here and these are the results. This is by far the most treacherous place I have ever explored.
