How much do Akimbo and Walken rule?
A fuckin lot. That was a kick ass hardcore show. Drip Dry showed up a little late and hit the stage around 8:30, in full costume. Strawberry sauce for blood. Haha. It was all over the bathrooms too. I had to cut their set a little short, so we could get back on schedule, but they rocked the hizzzy. Akimbo was up next. I hadnt heard them up until last night, when I was blown away. How they generate so much sound from a 3 piece, I'll never know. They play in Seattle all the time, so if you missed the show go check em out.
Walken, who were finishing up a U.S. tour, were a little tired and sick, but their was definately no signs of ailment. Some really tight, thrashy hardcore. They are coming back to the hOle in August, so come check em. Dred played next. They like to throw stuff.
I have alot of summer shows to fill up. Throw some suggestions my way, or put me in contact w/ some bands that I dont know about.
