Things I learned this semester:
1) When writing papers, it is helpful to read the work you are supposed to write on.
2) Staring at a blank piece of paper does not automatically make the words appear.
3) You can actually get As on English papers. For the longest time my profs told me that that was largely impossible. Huh.
4) People are vastly overrated but sometimes insanity is a prelude to a beautiful friendship.
5) Do not attempt to slide down a hill when it has just snowed. You will graze your ass something awful. (I saw that happening and it wasn't pretty.)
6) There's nothing more irritating than the advent of finals when there should be no finals.
7) Canadian poetry sucks. Well - what I've read of it so far.
