Megans Thursday Adventure!
So I haven't really posted anything with some real meat in it for a while, so I'm gonna through up a story I wrote while talking to Megan last week or so. To frame up the story you should know some facts here. Fact One, the story is told in a format that is Me (Corrie) telling Megan whats going on in her life that day from her point of view. Fact B, each part of the story is inspired by a song Megan heard on the radio. I may tell a part of the story by just mentioning the song name, or I might use the song as a litteral meaning. I had a lot of fun doing this, so enjoy.

It’s 9:30 and you are quietly working at your desk, when suddenly a rumbling is heard from down the hall, your desk shakes and pictures fall off the wall, could this be an earthquake you ponder. No that idea is quickly dashed away as your boss bursts through your office wall like the Kool Aid Man and proceeds to yell at you for no reason what so ever. His tirade lasts for about 20 minutes till he forgets why he’s there and just wanders off. Today is off to a weird start.

Another loud rumble is heard making its way to your office. Guess the boss man is back for round two, you mentally prepare yourself for another onslaught of just random screaming. The noise gets louder and to your surprise it’s not the boss man but instead the audio department has come running through the boss size hole in your office and quickly start hiding behind filing cabinets very poorly. Utterly speechless by this act you just kind of stare around the room dumb founded. About two minutes later more commotion is heard making its way towards your office, you’re the center of attention today you guess. Suddenly, a group of film students walk in demanding to know where the audio students are hiding. Senses now regained, enough is enough. You tell the film students to get the hell out of your office and give them a withering look.

The film students begrudgingly leave your office, finally maybe you can actually start to get some work done now. Out in the hall you now hear a new commotion taking place, just as your about to get up from your chair and investigate, Mayor Peter Kelly rushes in to your office demanding the new budget for the city clean up that you were somehow put in charge of. Apparently your taking care of the waterfront cleanup effort, utterly flabbergasted by this news you just shout out the first idea that comes to mind and tell the Mayor that everyone in the city will get a free airfreshner to wear while down on the waterfront, thus making the problem seem nonexistent.

The Mayor is thrilled and shakes your hand saying you saved the day and runs out like a school boy on the last day of school. Ok, deep breath. EVERYONE is gone, the audio students are keeping to themselves, NOW you can get to work. Or so you would think, because from out in the door way you see a figure who sensually whispers “Megan, I need you.” Your heart flutters and your I.Q. drops 50 points, Chris Pine has entered your office. Chris makes his way over to your desk, picks you up over his shoulder and using his rocket pack fly’s you off to your secret floating sex castle over the city.

Upon entering your sex castle yo…. *missing reel* Chris Pine looks at you with his piecing stare and says you should probably get back, they are probably wondering where you are. You put on your big ol’ pout, but know Chris is right, he was right about everything that just happened and no one will ever believe it, that goodness its all here in writing. With a final hug and kiss you strap on your rocket books and make your way back to the Earth below.

Feeling light heading and a mean case of the rumblies from all that Pine climbing you’ve done you decide that food is what you need right now. Popping into the first sandwich shop you see you immediately storm up to the counter to get some tasty foods. Noticing that this isn’t your ordinary sandwich shop you take notice that it’s also a bar, what an odd combination. You let your eyes dance around the room and the weird afternoon crowd you soon feel someone kicking your foot. With horror you look up into the face of the very drunk man from the Power Age concert equipped with his trade marked four beers in hand. Upon making eye contact this drunk from your past begins to just mumble and grumble non words at you. Oh dear.

Drunk beer man clearly has the look of lust in his eyes and plans you take you home. He whips out a piece of paper and scribbles something down that one can only assume is a phone number and forces it into your hand. He then starts pointing at his watch and stumbles off into the crowd of people. Looks like it’s time for you to get out now, luckily your sandwich has arrived and you quickly leave throwing away his number.

You decide to walk back to work instead of rocketing there, it’s far to nice to be inside right now. Turning a corner you see quite the ruckus going on down the street, upon further inspection you see a bar brawl has spilled out into the street and who should be in the thick of it but Ryan O’Leary, Geoff Snow and Rich. Smirking you shake your head thinking how typical and stand around with everyone else watching the spectacle.

The Brawl in question has gone on far longer than you had hoped with Rich ending up a bloody mess and Geoff and Ryan the clear victors.You decide you really should get back to work and Ryan and Geoff tell you about a wicked party that night that you have to go to and will be around to get you sometime after midnight.

You FINALY make it back to the office, and what a day it's been so far. Upon entering the main lobby things seem a bit out of sort. The floor has a thin film of water on it and people are running around. You storm over to Brittany’s desk and ask what the fuck is going on and she tells you that the mens bathroom had a toilet break and water has spilled out into the rest of the office. Megan is not pleased.

Out of the Corner of your eye you see Dave walking over. He's quite concerned that people could slip and hurt themselves. Oh that silly Dave. Seeing how your wearing flats Dave offers to give you a free Piggy back ride to the stairs so you don't slip and fall.

After Dave shuttles you to the stairs, he aways to go try to stop the water problem. You suddenly realize how starving you are and eye your sandwich like a tiger stalking its prey. You make your way back to your office choosing to enter thought the boss man hole in your wall and proceeded to destroy your sandwich. It is possibly the greatest sandwich ever, the emotions that fill you at this point are indescribable. Truly this is love. A single tear rolls down your cheek.

In the mist of this sandwich love in you hear a very tiny rap at your door and look down to see a very tiny girl scout in your door way. you beckon her into your office and she begins her spiel about her wears that she is selling, you listen intently trying to decode her rambling. I'll best you yet you charlatan you think to yourself and smirk. After she finishes you pause for a moment and lean back in your chair placing your fingertips together in a thoughtful pose and think chocolate covered cookies would be awesome and proceed to buy a box. But whats this with the purchase of one box you get another for free, what a bargin!

Could this day get any better you ask aloud! Then there is a moment of silence. You shrug your shoulders, guess not. Just then Corrie Demedeiros walks in *studio audience cheers* what a pleasant surprise this is, Corrie never visits me at work you think, and whats this he's holding, gram crackers, marshmallows and chocola... oh no. Corrie has brought things for s'mores, things have just been kicked up a notch.

You've managed to keep everything from being on fire and what do you know it's quitting time, you and Corrie leave your office. What a crazy eventful day, you tell the audio students they can stay but not to make a mess, and decide to go to the Pouge for a celebratory cocktail to commemorate the day thus far. Once inside you find a very drunk Danny Tanner and Marc Simpson akeeming like their very lives depend on it. Danny sees you two upon entering and storms over and starts yelling about how happy he is to see friends and gets all grabby and starts pointing in your face. You tell him to keep his hands to himself else he be prepared to loose them.

You and Corrie make your way to the bar to get drinks and are just clinking out fancy glasses when you hear this low rumble mixed with sirens mixed with Van Halens Panama. Suddenly a cop car comes flying into the Pouge and out steps Officer Bill Hader and Officer Seth Rogan, they then pose as a team. This shit has just gotten real.

At this point everyone is in shock. The DJ has stopped spinning and everyone is looking at these two gentlemen with awe. Bill steps forward and challenges two people to a dance off. Danny and Marc step up. Looks like we are in for a down and dirty dance off, You order a pitcher of purple haze and Corrie orders a pitcher rum and coke. The two of you are you are far too sober for this to happen. Dan gives the signal for the DJ to start spinning and he and Marc hit the dance floor to Bob Segers Down on Mainstreet yelling out to Seth Rogan that with moves this sweet him and Bill will be Down on Painstreet by the end of this.

Bill and Seth have been officially been served by Marc and Dans smooth Akeems and thrusts but they still have a turn to respond. As they make their way onto the dance floor the DJ starts spinning Supertramps Give A Little Bit. A crowd has now gathered around this spectacle of ass hattery and you begin to question the DJs taste in appropriate music for such an event but just go with it and sing along with the song.

Bill and Seth are tearing things up pretty heavy handedly on the dance floor. Marc and Dan are starting to look a bit nervous. You turn to tell Corrie your thoughts on the outcome of this battle and see he is no longer beside you, no he has made his way to the stage and has been singing Give a Little bit for the past few minutes, you knew those vocals sounded familiar. Suddenly there’s a huge explosion from the stage and Corrie is flung towards the bar, but he sticks the landing and is ok. All eyes are now on the stage and as the smoke clears you see that standing on the stage beginning to play is none other than Power Age and oh god, they are playing Dirty Deeds. Bill, Seth and the rest of the bar are not pleased, you never interrupt a Dance off. Never.

Everyone is less than pleased at this point. A Gun shot rings out from the crowd. A lone figure approaches the stage. No one can quite see him and then he quickly turns around. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHER FUCKING COVERBANDS IN THIS MOTHER FUCKING BAR! Now strap in, because I'm going to open up a can of whoopass. Both excitement and fear rips though the crowd Corrie has finally made his way over to you with Dan and Marc in tow. Sam Jackson is about to throw down, and it's up to us to hold the line and pick up the stragglers you tell your rag tag group of friends. Lets get to fucking work.

Surveying the room you look at all these good people that you've seen tonight fighting tooth and nail not to ever hear Power Age again. makes you proud to be a Canadian and alive. But oh man look at the time, you gotta bounce, and you quickly excuse yourself from the fray.

You make you way onto the street and out of the bar. The sun is just starting to set and summer and music is in the air. So is the distinct odor of pine freshness, looking around you see people are wearing airfreshners, looks like the Mayor implemented your plan. You suddenly hear a familiar voice yelling your name, you turn around to see Dave Cawthra running towards you in a mad dash. He quickly tells you he has no time to explain but you have to hide him. You decide the only safe place is in your purse which Dave dives into. 10 seconds latter a screaming pack of girls run by. Oh that Dave, you heartbreaker you. You chuckle a little and tell Dave it's safe to come out. All of a sudden Danny Tanner comes crashing through the glass windowpane of the Pouge to the street. Corrie and Marc soon follow.

Looks like the whole gangs back together. Once Corrie, Marc and Dan dust them selves off high fives, akeems and eye rolls from Corrie are given out around the group. You quickly form the plan of storming down to the bus stop in Scotia square with your boys in tow. This menacing group of people intimidates everyone in their path, causing men to get errections and girls to swoon with glee. Upon getting closer to the Prince George you hear the lively music of bagpipes and apparently someone rapping. Someone rapping to bagpipes, this has to be both scene/heard. Low and behold it's Matt J wearing his Mario hat busting out a mad rap which sounds strikingly familiar to Sunshine of Your Love with some guy whose wailing away on bagpipes. Quite the crowd has gathered. Matt waves the group forward to form his posse.

We watch the amazing spectacle that is Matt for a bit longer till we see the bus start crusing down the road towards the terminal.. Dave, Dan, Matt and Corrie run towards the bus. You chuckle, silly boys Megan was not born to run, she was born to rocket boots. You activate your boots in a short burst and quite thoroughly beat the guys to the bus stop arriving as the bus pulls in. As the doors open you ask the driver to wait for your dumb friends. The man says sure, and even addresses you by name, you turn to look at said bus driver and not surprisingly, it's Chris Demedeiros!

Finally the boys have caught up and there is much confusion as to where Marc has gone, Dan informs the group that everyone was running to fast for Marc and he got angry and stormed home to his room and now he's texting Dan sexy messages. Everyone piles onto the bus which once entered turns out to be more like a 1980s British rock tour bus. If one closed their eyes and really listened they could possibly here the ghost of and ELO tour playing Shine a Little Love. But then again that’s just silly. Everyone finds a seat and Chris Demedeiros punches it into warp speed.

Much tom foolery is going on in the bus and rockband has been busted out. You take up lead vocals with Dan on drums, Corrie on bass and Dave on Guitar, this bus has OFFICALY started rock'n. Chris hands off the wheel of the bus to a terrified Matt with the reassuring phrase of don't fuck up, and comes back to see whats what. Everyone soon realized that Matt is now driving the bus and we are now on the highway somehow. Chris makes the inappropriate joke that Matt is a highway star and that we should play that song. Nobody really laughs and Chris goes back up front and takes over driving from Matt.

With nerves now officially shot, the bus soon pulls into the Sackville terminal. After an event like that everyone needs a drink so you and everyone start walking towards the Doolys for a much needed stiff drink. Matt might need two milks after that ordeal. As we make our way through the lost woods of Sackville we come across the fabled Doolys, upon arriving at the doors you are attacked by 3 Octoroks who proceed to throw rocks at everyone. Matt attends to the door which requires it's two torches out front to be lit. And uses fire on it. Matt then smugly turns around and is all "He, he, light my fire...." many glares are given. Now it's time to kick some ass. You take your cheep wooden sword out that that OLD Man gave you and thrust it forward making lightning bolts fly out. You are like a fucking god and kill all three Octoroks quite heavy handedly. Now it's time to get your swerve on. Also, you have collected 7 rupees.

You and your fellow heroes enter the bar to no fan fair at all, seems like it's business as usual here, which is cool. That’s how you roll. The bar seems to be under construction which just looks funny. they seem to be putting mirrors on the ceiling and pink Champaign with ice seems to be the special of the night. You jokingly say we can never leave and are received with huge laughter. Corrie is disappointed he didn't get there first. You and everyone order some drinks and head down towards the back of the bar to the tables and find Jason eating alone. Oh shit that’s right it's Thursday night.

Everyone sits down with Jason and talking of the day is done. You ask Jason how his day went and he proceeds to tell the tale of how when he was leaving work he was accosted by two cops that looked suspiciously like Bill Hader and Seth Rogan being chased by a screaming man who looked like Nick Fury. You then fill Jason in on the adventure of the Pouge. Suddenly two hands slam down on your shoulders and you turn around to see the sultans of swing themselves, Wayne Beals, Tim the door man, James Huges and Jackie Smith who all proceeded to harass you to get Thursday drunk.

Jackie is starting out his set on time for once to everyones shock and amusement. Maybe you'll actually get to sing all your songs for once seeing how small the crowd is tonight. Then again it's only 9PM, anything could happen. As if right on cue, anything did happen. You hear a huge BANG followed by a thud and then a very drunk "I'm ok." All eyes are on the mens bathroom and JOEL PLASTERED PLASKETT who drunkenly sits down and takes Dave's beer. Joel downs the beer in only a way that Joel Plaskett can and starts yelling ROCK MOUNTAIN ROAD! and other gibberish. It's gonna be one of those amazing night, you can just tell.

Everyone is just staring at Joel Plaskett who suddenly jumps up from his seat and run up on stage after taking Dans beer and proceeds to steal the microphone from Jackie. He then starts giving a horrendous version of Fashionable People while the music for Don't Fear the Reaper played. Tim rushes to the stage like a majestic steed to get Joel out of there, a fight break out and Joel Plaskett over powers Tim the door man while singing his own theme song called Drunk Joelnagers. That’s when you know there was only one thing to do. You called up the big I who in minutes burst into the Doolys with Jeff Burly armed with pressure washers. You and Corrie quickly hand the two men opened beers and they proceed to turn the mighty jets of water on Joel. Oh no, what’s this, the water has no effect on Joel. He seems to love it. Ian and Jeff lock eyes and give each other a nod, what’s this... OH NO! THEY CROSS THE STREAMS!!! the combined force of this new super stream is enough to take Joel Plaskett down. You hug your father and tell him you've had enough for one night and will have to call Ryan and Geoff to cancel on that party. As you get in the van for the ride home you start to drift off into sleep as the radio quietly plays Slow Ride by Foghat.

At this point everyone is in shock. The DJ has stopped spinning and everyone is looking at these two gentlemen with awe. Bill steps forward and challenges two people to a dance off. Danny and Marc step up. Looks like we are in for a down and dirty dance off, You order a pitcher of purple haze and Corrie orders a pitcher rum and coke. The two of you are you are far too sober for this to happen. Dan gives the signal for the DJ to start spinning and he and Marc hit the dance floor to Bob Segers Down on Mainstreet yelling out to Seth Rogan that with moves this sweet him and Bill will be Down on Painstreet by the end of this.

Bill and Seth have been officially been served by Marc and Dans smooth Akeems and thrusts but they still have a turn to respond. As they make their way onto the dance floor the DJ starts spinning Supertramps Give A Little Bit. A crowd has now gathered around this spectacle of ass hattery and you begin to question the DJs taste in appropriate music for such an event but just go with it and sing along with the song.

Bill and Seth are tearing things up pretty heavy handedly on the dance floor. Marc and Dan are starting to look a bit nervous. You turn to tell Corrie your thoughts on the outcome of this battle and see he is no longer beside you, no he has made his way to the stage and has been singing Give a Little bit for the past few minutes, you knew those vocals sounded familiar. Suddenly there’s a huge explosion from the stage and Corrie is flung towards the bar, but he sticks the landing and is ok. All eyes are now on the stage and as the smoke clears you see that standing on the stage beginning to play is none other than Power Age and oh god, they are playing Dirty Deeds. Bill, Seth and the rest of the bar are not pleased, you never interrupt a Dance off. Never.

Everyone is less than pleased at this point. A Gun shot rings out from the crowd. A lone figure approaches the stage. No one can quite see him and then he quickly turns around. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHER FUCKING COVERBANDS IN THIS MOTHER FUCKING BAR! Now strap in, because I'm going to open up a can of whoopass. Both excitement and fear rips though the crowd Corrie has finally made his way over to you with Dan and Marc in tow. Sam Jackson is about to throw down, and it's up to us to hold the line and pick up the stragglers you tell your rag tag group of friends. Lets get to fucking work.

So is the distinct odor of pine freshness, looking around you see people are wearing airfreshners, looks like the Mayor implemented your plan. You suddenly hear a familiar voice yelling your name, you turn around to see Dave Cawthra running towards you in a mad dash. He quickly tells you he has no time to explain but you have to hide him. You decide the only safe place is in your purse which Dave dives into. 10 seconds latter a screaming pack of girls run by. Oh that Dave, you heartbreaker you. You chuckle a little and tell Dave it's safe to come out. All of a sudden Danny Tanner comes crashing through the glass windowpane of the Pouge to the street. Corrie and Marc soon follow.

Looks like the whole gangs back together. Once Corrie, Marc and Dan dust them selves off high fives, akeems and eye rolls from Corrie are given out around the group. You quickly form the plan of storming down to the bus stop in Scotia square with your boys in tow. This menacing group of people intimidates everyone in their path, causing men to get errections and girls to swoon with glee. Upon getting closer to the Prince George you hear the lively music of bagpipes and apparently someone rapping. Someone rapping to bagpipes, this has to be both scene/heard. Low and behold it's Matt J wearing his Mario hat busting out a mad rap which sounds strikingly familiar to Sunshine of Your Love with some guy whose wailing away on bagpipes. Quite the crowd has gathered. Matt waves the group forward to form his posse.

We watch the amazing spectacle that is Matt for a bit longer till we see the bus start crusing down the road towards the terminal.. Dave, Dan, Matt and Corrie run towards the bus. You chuckle, silly boys Megan was not born to run, she was born to rocket boots. You activate your boots in a short burst and quite thoroughly beat the guys to the bus stop arriving as the bus pulls in. As the doors open you ask the driver to wait for your dumb friends. The man says sure, and even addresses you by name, you turn to look at said bus driver and not surprisingly, it's Chris Demedeiros!

Finally the boys have caught up and there is much confusion as to where Marc has gone, Dan informs the group that everyone was running to fast for Marc and he got angry and stormed home to his room and now he's texting Dan sexy messages. Everyone piles onto the bus which once entered turns out to be more like a 1980s British rock tour bus. If one closed their eyes and really listened they could possibly here the ghost of and ELO tour playing Shine a Little Love. But then again that’s just silly. Everyone finds a seat and Chris Demedeiros punches it into warp speed.

Much tom foolery is going on in the bus and rockband has been busted out. You take up lead vocals with Dan on drums, Corrie on bass and Dave on Guitar, this bus has OFFICALY started rock'n. Chris hands off the wheel of the bus to a terrified Matt with the reassuring phrase of don't fuck up, and comes back to see whats what. Everyone soon realized that Matt is now driving the bus and we are now on the highway somehow. Chris makes the inappropriate joke that Matt is a highway star and that we should play that song. Nobody really laughs and Chris goes back up front and takes over driving from Matt.

With nerves now officially shot, the bus soon pulls into the Sackville terminal. After an event like that everyone needs a drink so you and everyone start walking towards the Doolys for a much needed stiff drink. Matt might need two milks after that ordeal. As we make our way through the lost woods of Sackville we come across the fabled Doolys, upon arriving at the doors you are attacked by 3 Octoroks who proceed to throw rocks at everyone. Matt attends to the door which requires it's two torches out front to be lit. And uses fire on it. Matt then smugly turns around and is all "He, he, light my fire...." many glares are given. Now it's time to kick some ass. You take your cheep wooden sword out that that OLD Man gave you and thrust it forward making lightning bolts fly out. You are like a fucking god and kill all three Octoroks quite heavy handedly. Now it's time to get your swerve on. Also, you have collected 7 rupees.

You and your fellow heroes enter the bar to no fan fair at all, seems like it's business as usual here, which is cool. That’s how you roll. The bar seems to be under construction which just looks funny. they seem to be putting mirrors on the ceiling and pink Champaign with ice seems to be the special of the night. You jokingly say we can never leave and are received with huge laughter. Corrie is disappointed he didn't get there first. You and everyone order some drinks and head down towards the back of the bar to the tables and find Jason eating alone. Oh shit that’s right it's Thursday night.

Everyone sits down with Jason and talking of the day is done. You ask Jason how his day went and he proceeds to tell the tale of how when he was leaving work he was accosted by two cops that looked suspiciously like Bill Hader and Seth Rogan being chased by a screaming man who looked like Nick Fury. You then fill Jason in on the adventure of the Pouge. Suddenly two hands slam down on your shoulders and you turn around to see the sultans of swing themselves, Wayne Beals, Tim the door man, James Huges and Jackie Smith who all proceeded to harass you to get Thursday drunk.

Jackie is starting out his set on time for once to everyones shock and amusement. Maybe you'll actually get to sing all your songs for once seeing how small the crowd is tonight. Then again it's only 9PM, anything could happen. As if right on cue, anything did happen. You hear a huge BANG followed by a thud and then a very drunk "I'm ok." All eyes are on the mens bathroom and JOEL PLASTERED PLASKETT who drunkenly sits down and takes Dave's beer. Joel downs the beer in only a way that Joel Plaskett can and starts yelling ROCK MOUNTAIN ROAD! and other gibberish. It's gonna be one of those amazing night, you can just tell.

Everyone is just staring at Joel Plaskett who suddenly jumps up from his seat and run up on stage after taking Dans beer and proceeds to steal the microphone from Jackie. He then starts giving a horrendous version of Fashionable People while the music for Don't Fear the Reaper played. Tim rushes to the stage like a majestic steed to get Joel out of there, a fight break out and Joel Plaskett over powers Tim the door man while singing his own theme song called Drunk Joelnagers. That’s when you know there was only one thing to do. You called up the big I who in minutes burst into the Doolys with Jeff Burly armed with pressure washers. You and Corrie quickly hand the two men opened beers and they proceed to turn the mighty jets of water on Joel. Oh no, what’s this, the water has no effect on Joel. He seems to love it. Ian and Jeff lock eyes and give each other a nod, what’s this... OH NO! THEY CROSS THE STREAMS!!! the combined force of this new super stream is enough to take Joel Plaskett down. You hug your father and tell him you've had enough for one night and will have to call Ryan and Geoff to cancel on that party. As you get in the van for the ride home you start to drift off into sleep as the radio quietly plays Slow Ride by Foghat.
