I had such a long day yesterday. I got up at 6am, Joe made us this organic 8 grain breakfast oatmeal thing, we put cinnamon sugar, apples and milk in it, it was sooo soo good! I went to work, I was in oncology today but it wasn't very busy, so most of the day me and the other onco tech, Xiomara, stayed in Gen Pop, and Triaged all day. We had a tech meeting at 7pm. I was at the meeting for maybe 20 minutes and then they called for a tech to the back (as soon as 6pm hits we usually get really busy due to all the animal hospitals closing). First we had a dog with eclampsia, then a cat who was bleeding from the nose, then a dog with lymphoma came in (he was only 3 years old, and turning into a skeleton and anemic, I hope they opted to treat with chemo, they respond really well, and go into remission super quick, he could live another 1-3 years), then we had to unblock a cat....before I knew it it was 9pm, and I had missed the entire tech meeting. They ordered sooo sooo much food, but I only picked because Joe told me he was making dinner. The R train took forever to come, and I got home at 10pm. I open the door and Joe was like "don't look, go into the livingroom", and then a few seconds later he brought me to the kitchen. The table was set with 2 candles lit, and he made us chicken caeser salads (with tortillas to make wraps), stuffed mushrooms, and homemade mozzarella with tomato and basil! and he bought my favorite olives stuffed with hot pepper. I was soo impressed with everything, especially the mozzarella, I couldn't believe he could make it, and so fast...it was soo fresh and he added just the right amount of salt, it was sooo yummy!
He's soo good :)
