Snowed Out!
There was a gentle rain this morning, the harshest weather I've seen on my trip to Texas. Even out here I haven't escaped some of the fury of the NY blizzard. My flight is canceled, and the next one is on the 31st, so it looks like my vacation has been extended until then. I love this state, especially around Austin, but I was sure ready to leave. I don't have any friends here, so I'm spending most of my time watching Law & Order and How It's Made with my nose buried in my DS. I know that's exactly what I would be doing in NY but it's somehow less satisfying here.
I'm glad I came here for xmas though. I got a big ole law dictionary, some games i've never heard of and probably wont play, 2 great big bottles of cholula hot sauce (weird) and one VERY TINY eightball sized bottle of tabasco (weird but cute i guess? almost fits in my wallet). Not sure how i will fit the dictionary in my luggage, may have to abandon some things here.
In other news, for those who haven't kept score, I'm 1-semester-down-5-to-go in law school. Grades aren't going to be posted until January and my (hopefully irrational) anxiety over how I performed isn't helping. Neither is quitting smoking. I'm a little edgy.
I'm sure 4 more days of cabin fever won't be enough to trigger any sort of psychotic episode.
