He is Takezo Kensei, and right now, he couldn't be any less concerned with that.
What concerns him instead is the more consistent theme in his life, the direct opposite of what his alter ego suggests him to be; food, alcohol, and most of all, women. And there's no shortage, because he's just gotten a nice big payment for 'saving' a village -- really, he pities the poor bastard who took that arrow in the eye and the throat, but what can you do? -- and it's time to celebrate.
"Another round for everyone!" He yells happily in his now quite decent Japanese, earning cheers from crowd in the tavern. And then Takezo Kensei, for all his supposed glory, takes another swig of sake and enjoys a very good chicken leg. He'll likely be broke by the end of the evening, or close to it, but he accepts this.
Already having set aside a portion of the money for his next job, he's prepared to get back to work. In a few days. Japan is never short of troubles these days, or people that he can hire to take care of business for him.
Takezo looks up when a beautiful young girl saunters over to him, and inserts herself directly into his lap with a bright flirtatious smile. He temporarily forgets how much he's starving, and regards her with an equally flirtatious grin. "And what might your name be?" Still in Japanese, people that actually spoke English in this area are few and far in between.
Her smile widens into a grin of her own, and she slides her arms smoothly around his neck. "My friend and I would like us to have some fun, if you are interested."
He no longer cares about her name. Or the name of the friend he sees when he follows her gaze, the one smiling and barely biting back a giggle. He smiles instead, and nods. He's even about to suggest where they could all get a room together, thinking about how wonderful a night it's turning out to be.
That is, of course, until one of the servers sets down the freshly cooked ham that he'd forgotten all about ordering. And the smell of the food hits him full force, and his stomach growls fiercely, and Takezo is suddenly conflicted.
"... Would you mind waiting a short while?" He asks casually, nodding to the ham, cursing himself for being unable to resist. "You're welcome to have some if you'd like." And when he was full and properly drunk, they would end the night right. With him completely unaware of the intense hangover he would wake up to tomorrow.
She giggles, invites her friend over, and they all enjoy a meal. It takes fifteen minutes, almost to the second, before this enjoyable event is ruined. One of the girls has a brother, and he's brought friends. And they don't care about who Takezo is, they only care about taking apart the white man who would be more than happy to 'dishonor' their women after he's through with his meal.
When he's running from the tavern for dear life mere seconds later, he takes the chicken leg with him.
