considering the fact that my spanish teacher won't mind now that the spanish project is due, i figured it'd be ok if i shared with you this poem i came upon doing the project, it's quite good. It's XXXIX by Jose Marti (name needs accents but too lazy right now). I've decided to share with you the poem and the (my personal, so stfu)translation of it.
Cultivo una rosa blanca,
en julio como en enero,
para el amigo sincero,
que me da su mano franca.
y para el cruel que me arranca
el corazón con que vivo,
cardo ni ortiga cultivo:
cultivo la rosa blanca
I cultivate a white rose,
In July as well as in January,
For the sincere friend
That gives me his honest hand,
For the cruel that rip out
The heart with that (more like “which” I think) I live,
Neither thistle nor stinging nettle I cultivate:
I cultivate the white rose.
i think it's beautiful... when i'm done answering the ?'s on it, that is...O\_/O
