Just a little update-a-rooney.
Let's see... I've spent the past two weeks teaching in the evenings on top of my usual day classes. It's a fun group and about twice the size of my day class, so I enjoy it a lot. Unfortunately, they seem to like me more than their usual teacher, so now there's the awkwardness of them asking my boss for me to be their teacher. Yeah, I like them... but not enough to have three 14-hour days per week for the foreseeable future :P Plus, their usual teacher is pretty awesome (just not as awesome as me? :P)
The other night, I was woken up by a horrible alarm at 4am. I thought it was the water heater exploding again (the cause of the flood in my apartment last month). In reality, it turned out to be the carbon monoxide detector. I'm glad I didn't wake up dead and a strange shade of pink. The problem seems to be fixed now, so don't worry :)
I spent most of the long weekend being a total lazy ass. I wish I'd gone out more to enjoy the return of the nice weather, but alas, I just couldn't get off my butt.
I randomly ran into Jess and Lisa last Friday night. I was going to a restaurant for a birthday celebration for my friend Kim. They were just exiting the same restaurant as I was about to go in. My timing was pretty excellent, too, since Jess was leaving for Winnipeg the next day. I love it when coincidences like that happen :D They make me happy. Hopefully, we can get together at Christmas, since I think I'm going to stick around in BC. I'll be paying off my vacation until well into the new year, so no trip to Ontario for me this holiday season.
