Life back at work is, as expected, rather craptacular. I've taken an important step in protecting my sanity, though. I've told the powers that be that if they don't find a new director by March 1st, I'm going to have to quit. Honestly, I'd rather be unemployed than deal with the crap I've had to deal with in the last two weeks.
Two of the more "interesting" occurrences were 1) a teacher calling in quitting on Monday (no notice, thanks :P) and 2) a crazy woman threatening to report me to HRDC because I hired a woman who used to work for her. Yeah, I can't even explain it any more than that, that's how crazy this woman is.
So yeah, I've decided that there is no way that I can deal with this stuff anymore. Yay! Or something.
Other than that, my computer is semi-dead. It's all in Korean, and that's... manageable, though definitely not optimal. It is not playing nice with my wireless setup, but it's working fine with cable. Unfortunately, certain programs (like AIM, for example) don't seem to know what to do with the situation and are just not working. It's also not thrilled with being shut down. Fun times.
Another result of my computer spontaneously exploding is that I've lost all of my photos and documents from the last 2.5 years. This blows. No pictures of Korea, none of the writing I did while I lived there. All of the stuff I created for school with this computer... gone.
2008 isn't really starting off that great. Here's hoping the year gets better because if I have to deal with 11.5 more months of this crap, I think I'll just sleep until 2009.
