i've had a pretty good week this week. wednesday was an awesome day. first of all i got a promotion at delias. i am now a manager. it isn't a big time manager, but i'm kind of a fill in manager. im going to make more money which makes me happy. and the same day we got a call from a woman that is a stylist/writer for teen vogue. they are doing a photoshoot in st.louis and wanted to know if they could borrow some clothes from our store. well anyway i was soo excited because i was hoping maybe i could talk to her and she could get me an internship at that magazine or something. ha anyway so she came into today and immediately i started talking to her about the shoot. i was thinking about seeing if i could go and just watch since thats what kind of stuff im wanting to do. well it turns out the shoot is a feature on a girl's bedroom from st.louis and its just a shoot of her in her room. i guess they do stuff like that for every issue. so i decided i wouldn't ask to go because it would be at some girl's house. sooo instead i started asking her questions about the magazine and also about how i could get started in my career. she gave me soooo much great information. she gave me a couple contacts and she also took my name and number and stuff. so now i have a connection at teen vogue which is really exciting! it was really fun talking to someone who works in the business and knows stuff. she also gave me some websites to look at for internships. ive found a bunch of different photo ones for like cosmogirl, teen people, marie claire. im so excited now. i had searched for stuff like that before, but could never find anything. anyway... thats my story. althought i didn't get anywhere for sure, i still made a friend in the business so thats cool. and i have her info incase i ever want to contact her.

anyway.. its been a while since i've updated. ive been super busy. i feel like i hardly ever have any time to do anything. i only have one night a week where i dont' have anything to do. sucks. next semester is going to be even more stressful, but at least im working towards something. im so excited to go home next week for thanksgiving. ive only been home two times since i've moved so it'll be nice to spend time with my family and have awesome food! im so sick of frozen food. im excited for mashed potatos, green beans, turkey, rolls, corn, pumpkin pie, etc. im also excited to see my cousins! also a lot of my friends are going to be fun, so it'll be nice. one thing that sucks is i have to work the day after thanksgiving. so im going to have to go home wednesday night, stay til thursday evening, drive back to st.louis thursday night, work on friday, then drive back saturday for my great grandma's birthday party. she's gonna be like 95 or 96. crazy dude. anyway.. a lot of driving this weekend.

alright well i am going to get off.. .sarah and i are going to see bridget jones diary tonight. i must get ready.

p.s. i got a bunch of clothes today for free at work today. so exciting. well it wans't free but i won a 25 dollar gift certificate sooo yeah. i was happy because i hadn't bought stuff in a long time because im so poor! now all i need is some jeans. all of mine are too big on me. :(
