PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY: From The_devils_see.
I am sorry for the TLDR.

Riza was one of the first to wash up on the island, and despite massive blood loss not hours before, Riza set about gathering as many allies as she could - Rin, Maka, Castiel, Ciel and Adam, offering each of them a place to stay after locating a rather large house in the village. Not after, Riza become aware that that Kimblee, a sociopath from her world, was also on the Island. However, forging an alliance would have to wait. There where strange things called Durama Dolls had appeared wanting to play a game. If you failed the game, you ended upi blind and suffering dfrpom paranoid.

Riza was among those who failed. Fortunately, Batman subdued her not long after she failed and left the woman in the care of Castiel. Once the dolls were gone, Riza recovered as best she could and kept moving, not stopping to think. Something that, months down the track, would come to haunt her. Cultivating the alliance with Kimblee helped, as did befriending a new arrival - a young woman by the name of Rapunzel.

Not two weeks after, Riza was one of the first to notice that there where crate washing up on the Island, and after leaving a message on the network, she went to wake her household and then returned to the beach. There, she gained several new guns, a tactical vest and some holsters. She was also around when Rapunzel misfired a rocket launcher. While the crates seemed like a boon a first, the earthquake a week a later soon had everyone changing their minds. The Giant Acidic Death Worms had appeared.

Towards the end of them, Riza's back came into contact with the acid skin of a worm, resulting in horrific burns along most of her upper back. Thankfully, Castiel was able to teleport her to the hospital, where Adam treated her. Both the angel and boy saw the the remains of her tattoo. Riza remained in hospital lock down for some time after and was not the best patient. But, she was allowed out eventually.

Riza never stopped networking either, making friends, allies - and losing Kimblee - a link to her home. However, Riza didn't have much down time, as not long after the ides of April, fruits that bore faces of those on the island started appeared, dragging those who refused to eat them to a grove of trees to be food for them. Riza was lucky, having choked down one of the horrible, blood tasting fruit. But, two of her charges were not, and Riza, along with others, gave literally bled to save them.

Not two weeks later, after returning home to Amestris then being dragged back, Riza had a mental breakdown, unable to deal with it all any longer. She blamed herself. This break down was not helped by the fact that the moon turned Red not long after, and then she started to see things - hallucinations that drove Riza to the brink again. And then she was injured by Gamzee - who was now his true self without his drugs to keep him stoned. Again, Riza ended up in hospital, much to her dislike. But it was far from over as a vicious hurricane swept the island - doing a lot of damage.

June thankfully, was quiet - a needed break, and the new arrivals that washed up brought two from home - two Homunculi - Wrath and Lust. Though Riza did not trust them, she did not make any hostile moves. June had been peaceful so far - and she was not looking to start a war. Of course, it did worry Riza, though she did her best not to let it show. A wishing well appeared at the end of June, and for many, Riza included the month had been a much needed break, and Riza had spent a lot of her down time resting and catching up on her sleep.

And then July came, and Rin's name ended up on a tombstone in the graveyard. Though it held no bodies, everyone knew that if a name appeared there, the person was off the island. One way of the other. Feeling helpless once again, Riza took to killing demons to vent, at one point even teaming up with Wrath. Though she hardly trusted the man, she knew he was useful and she wasn't going to pass up a chance at knowing how the Island was effecting his skills.

And then, a few days after, Riza's dragged into Exit Void. Out of one horrific place and into another.

As far as personality goes, Riza has been pushed to the brink and back. She's a lot more high strung, a lot more military minded and extremely protective of those she calls her charges. She seen things that she often thought would kill her, she's killed monsters, networked with killers, adopted several children and she's survived. She's fought tooth and nail to hang onto what she has, pushing herself far more than she should and while the masks are there... It's only a matter of time before they fall again and another breakdown happens.

Riza's far more geared towards survival now than she's ever been, a noticeable trait is that she's always armed, no matter what, no matter how, and she's become proficient in the use of two blades - the tanto and the pudao. Riza also has no qualms about doing what's needed to survive - no matter what.

In her mind, it's kill or be killed, do what you have to, survive each day and stay together and make allies. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Something that the woman takes all to seriously now. No matter what, no matter the grudges - survival first and foremost.

PERSONALITY: Riza is a strict, stoic young woman who at her core, holds many hurts and traumas. What we see on the outside does not mean that's what's on the inside. But, for the sake of her duties, self imposed or not, she wears a mask, and rarely relaxes. She has a kind, and caring soul underneath, as seen in the kind words and smiles given to those whom she trusts. Her caring is shown most of through subtle gestures as she's not a fan of PDA's, on or off the job. She asks the best of herself and those around her, often refusing to allow her Colonel to slack off and in later chapters of the manga, actually notes that the fuehrer doesn't slack off or try and sneak out early, perhaps implying that she misses working under Roy. She has no issue with yelling at Roy Mustang, or pulling him back into line. This is often with a well placed barb of sharp humour. It's not personal, but her way of keeping him on track. It's unknown what she thinks of his 'womanising ways', only that she has the reputation around the office of being his 'babysitter/talisman'.

The two biggest influences on Riza that we are shown are the array on her back and the hell she went through in Ishval. The Flame array is her shame, cross, burden and guilt. It is because of this that she has become a very private young woman, wearing clothes that fitted hide it. It's her father's legacy. A man who, in her own words, was very frightening and obsessive in his research, to the point of possibly ignoring her for a great extent. Though he did make sure that she was properly educated for the time period. Riza's mother died when she was young and both her parents were estranged from their parents, so Riza really only had her father, and Roy Mustang, after he became apprenticed to her father. It's unknown at what age the array was tattooed on, but she could have been rather young, and more than likely understood that it was important to him. It's only after her father's death and hearing the dreams of the young Roy Mustang that she allowed it to be seen by him and only him. She trusted her back to his dream so in a sense, she has a personal stake in Roy's dreams. Later, when he shows the darker, uglier side of himself when chasing down Envy, Riza disobeys his orders to stand down; He, right at the start, gave her permission to shoot to kill if he ever strayed and this in her mind, was straying too far from the 'allowed' path. When asked what she'd do after she shot him, Riza stated that she would not be long after him, explicitly implying that she'd kill herself.

Ishval shook her to the core. There is no denying that the events of the war stripped away whatever innocent nativity she had. Seeing her father's work in action for the first time would have shaken her even more. It was not the use he'd hoped for, and her by extension. The shooting, snipping and killing did not help, but she made it through, though not unscathed. It was in Ishval that she gained the moniker The Hawk's Eye, noted for sharp-shooting skills and accuracy with guns. After the war was over, she asked Roy to burn her back so that a new Flame Alchemist could never be created, and it's not a stretch to say that she'd have nightmares for a long time about what she saw, and have PTSD. Added into the fact that it was her back he ultimately learned the alchemy off... she has blood on her hands, one way or the other. She doesn't like guns, but will shoot if it's necessary, or ordered to by the man she chooses to follow; This does mean mean that she will disobey an order from a higher ranking officer, like the fuehrer; she just won't like it, at all. It's been said that Riza is a model solider of the military. She is Roy's personal adjutant, and bodyguard, and if ever needed, his executioner should he ever stray from the path he's chosen to go.

Riza has co-dependency issues with Roy Mustang, to the point where when Lust informs her that he's dead, she breaks down refusing to run away when Alphonse tells her - afterwards, when Roy is scolding her, she acknowledges that her actions were wrong and disgraceful as a solider under his command. Later on, when being asked what she will do after shooting Roy, she tells him that she has no intention of living a happy life, and her body will follow his. This implied that if she's ever called on to actually shoot her Colonel due to him straying off the path, she will not be long after.

Riza's caring side is shown in her treatment of Roy Mustang, the Elric brothers and sometimes, but not as often her co workers, though at times it can be a little harsh, she means the best for them. Along with this, she truly does care for her dog Black Hayate, though her discipline methods leave something to be desired. [She potty trains him after shooting the wall around were he was peeing inside. Poor puppy.] Roy latter remarks on her naming habits.

Of note is the fact that Riza doesn't like the military because sometimes she's forced to kill. However there is someone she needs to protect who's also in it, so she stays. Riza sees guns as a tool, an object that without hands pulling the trigger, does not cause deaths. A gun is good, she's said, as it doesn't leave the feeling of someone dying in your hands. She knows it's self deception, but she's willing to deceive herself to continue her duty as a solder, and protect others.

It's likely that even after Roy reaches his goal, she'll stay by his side as both bodyguard and personal assistant. He's her life, and has been for a while. In a word, he's more family than her father ever was and Riza doesn't know that General Grumman is her grandfather, on her mother's side. Her morals are more than likely similar to that of the early 1900's, and it's unknown as to what level Riza actually cares for Roy Mustang, but it's more than likely as a very close friend / almost a brother.

ABILITIES: Expert shot with a gun. High level administrative and secretarial skills, skilled in tactical operations. She has a high level of alertness, IE can tell that homunculi are more of a threat that normal humans, and this may work on the monsters in game, depending on situation. She's rather self sufficient and hyper competent at what she does.

Gained from months training in TDS, Riza is proficient in the use of a bladed weapon and hand to hand fighting seeing as she's had to conserve her ammo.

POSSESSIONS: Because she's coming in from TDS - Riza is armed to the teeth. On her body, she has, at anyone time, three hand guns, two holsters (her shoulder holster and a side one), one tanto and a rifle. Most times when she's patrolling she also has a pudao, but for the sake of things, I'll have her leave that at home.

Riza will arrive in her military pants, boots, turtle neck top with a haori over that. Oh and a hair tie as her hair's now normally worn in a pony tail.

JOURNAL ENTRY SAMPLE: Her tag at TDS for your benefit.

THIRD-PERSON SAMPLE: Riza ignored the fact that she was damp - that her skin itched. Ignored the fact that the time of day had just changed and she'd seen text on the inside of her eyes. It was impossible. It was the island playing tricks. But, as she slowly stood then started to walk, her sharp eyes scanned around the place, taking in everything that was different. All the while, she patted herself over, smiling. Good. Guns and tanto still in place..

But not her Pudao.

Her hands were flexing, never mind the stiffness, the soreness. She could see others, many of who looked more or less like civilians, and that stirred her into action. She didn't know if this was still the Island, but she did have a duty to keep as many safe as she could.

And she wasn't sure of it was just the cold, or something else that made her think that she wasn't safe here either. Great. She escaped the Island, only to end up in another place of horror? No, She refused to think of that. First, see who was around - If her charges were here.

She started to move, only stopping once she was further passed the rocks. And then she pulled off the haori. One look at the fact that she skin was scrawling and the tanto was coming out. With a steadying breath, Riza set to cutting out what ever was under her skin as carefully as she could - both to avoid excess pain and loss of blood.

If it was still the Island, she did not want to smell like an all you could eat buffet.
