Yeah! No MBS (Magic Blue Smoke)
Today was the first time to fire up of a new product I am designing at work. Over 500 parts and as far as I can tell I didn't make any big mistakes..... yet. I powered it up, loaded the initial firmware, no Magic Blue Smoke let out, all power supplies look good. Product is 90% working out of the shoot with the first non debugged firmware.
Dam I'm either way to lucky or something big is wrong that I haven't found yet.
I'm feeling relieved. That was the first time I was able to actually see if the thing worked after about 5 months of design work! It always feels good to see things actually work on real hardware after staring at computer models and drawings for so many months.
Wish I could post a picture, but the product is still secret. Hope it is a good seller, it should be.
