The Last Day
It is almost 2006! Yesterday was the last open day of MYB. I went up around 1 (not taking class of course). I spent the day with Mark, Julie, and Larry. The day felt like something you would see on the finale of a show like friends. We sat around from 1 until 7. We sat talking in studio III about all the crazy things that have happened over the years, remembering "tahash friday" and all the other modern/jazz teacher, and substitutes that we have scared away. As we were talking, Ms. Miles walks in with paint and a brush. Pretending to be painting something? I don't know what she was doing, but we all concluded that she had most likely been standing outside the whole time listening to our conversation. Larry then asked "Can we write on the wall?". Ms. Miles said "sure, why not?". That inspired us to go get markers after our lunch stop at chipotle. Larry was hilarious the whole day. He kept me laughing when I was feeling nostalgic, and would of otherwise been weepy eyed. When we returned we wrote on the walls of studio III. Well...we ended up being stopped by Karen, so we ended up writing on paper, and attaching it to the wall. We did sign our names to the wall near our barre spots. The rest of the day just was reminiscing in the lobby. Ms. Bryne, and Ms. Pettigrew I think wanted to kick us out. We found an old programme of National Ballet WITH MICHELLE IN IT! As we were finally getting ready to leave, Mara showed up...
The funniest thing was Ms. Byrne when cleaning found two pointe shoes left over. They turned out to belong to ME AND JULIE HAHAHAHAHAH. Finally the four of us were ready to leave. I laughed at a few sketchy characters, and then went to Kahina's house for the MYB cast party, which was cute. Last night, I had the most disgusting combination of food: a burrito, pizza, pot stickers, 4 different kinds of soda, and a sundae. That is almost as bad as the dinner I had the night before at the broadway diner: milkshake, chocolate chip pancakes, and a ranch wrapper.
I went to bed late, and woke up surprisingly early considering that I woke up at 12:15 the day before. I am going to bake some stuff for tomorrow. Maybe, I will get some really dorky 2006 glasses. I am really excited for 2006!
