I saw Out of Africa again yesterfday evening. That movie is so beautiful! It makes me cry a lot, every time. I want aDenys Finch Hatton in my life too! *sigh*
the dialogues are just perfect.
Denys: You've ruined it for me, you know.
Karen: Ruined what?
Denys: Being alone.
"If I know a song of Africa, of the giraffe and the African new moon lying on her back, of the plows in the fields and the sweaty faces of the coffee pickers, does Africa know a song of me? Will the air over the plain quiver with a color that I have had on, or the children invent a game in which my name is, or the full moon throw a shadow over the gravel of the drive that was like me, or will the eagles of the Ngong Hills look out for me? "
Later tonight I am going to a friend's of mine house at the sea. I'm staying a week. I can't wait. I have been missing the sea! I wish I could return to Corsica's sea. That island is SO beautiful!! Sadly I'll be stuck in Tuscany's ugly sea... still better than nothing, though! :)
Oh and this camera has been around in my room for a while now.
It belonged to my grandfather. It's from the 50s or so... I like it a lot. It smells like old things - it has been in our attic for quite some years!!
I'll take it with me to the sea. I'm excited to use it! I've never shot with real film (apart from when I was a child, lol). I've got some black and white film in it. I hope that I'll be able to shot some decent photos! :P
Oh and on the 28th I'll leave for Munich. I'll be spending 4 days alone with my grandparents. I am so looking forward to it!! After that my holidays will be over.. sigh... :(
