Mommy, what's yaoi?
OK, so my kid was watching "Lucky Star" when one character asked another what yaoi is. My daughter then turned around and asked me the same thing. I spent about 5 minutes attempting to compose myself, and then I told her, "Well, yaoi is basically... um, when two boys love each other very much,... um, yeah, kissing and stuff... um, don't touch the manga on the upper shelf of Mom's closet, OK?" Aaaaawkward. I know I could've handled it better.That's what I get for letting an 8-year-old watch "Lucky Star."
