I just finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
...You Potter people are sadists, you know that?! Seriously, I would have shot myself if I had to wait the two years for the last book. Holy hell.
Harry Potter is sort of like religion -- you have to be initiated and indoctrinated into it and THEN you see why people are so nutty about it. Until then, the people that are into are a few beers short of a six-pack. Like six short. Rowling is not the best prose writer I've ever read, but hell if she can't think up plots. Great skeleton, needs better flesh....or maybe it's like a Rambler -- ugly-ass car, but the inner workings just don't quit.
So now it's 7:20 AM, I haven't slept again. That's like 3 out of 7 nights this week where my body was like "weeeee." And I'm lying down at 2, 3 am, trying to get to sleep, then giving up and just reading. And Potter is a bad idea to read since your brain starts sparking all over the place. I haven't read good stuff in so long that my brain is just like "O_O input!"
...and yes, I am now going to run out to the mall and buy book 7 or get it at the library. Depends how lucky I am. asdlkjgalsdalsdldafja.
